For the director Gautham Menon, roping AR Rahman for Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya was a result of twelve years wait. He tasted the fruit of patience and perseverance as the songs of the film caught many hearts. Menon's association with Harris Jeyaraj was not too inferior but the desire was such. Now for his next major film Neethane En Pon Vasantham, Menon was on the hope of getting the favor from ARR.
The proposal was also on the air for quite some time. But AR Rahman has made his plans in different routes. Currently he is making his musical tour from December which means Menon is left with options. The situation is critical for Gautham as he is planning the film for the youth to celebrate in February for the Valentine 's Day.
Under this circumstances, it would be difficult for Menon to realign with Harris Jeyaraj as he too is on his musical tour worldwide. Gautham had the responsibility of pleasing the trilingual audience through this film. The movie is made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi with Jeeva (Tamil), Nani (Telugu) and Aditya Kapoor (Hindi) being paired with lone lady love Samantha.
The production banner too is a popular firm, RS Infotainment which delivered Ko. Menon said the film is half way through and is going smooth to become a real romantic comedy. To add icing for this humor, Menon has included Santhanam for Tamil version. Really a great tribute to the lover's day.
