It is so strange na ki all mainstream serials focus on only family and in laws. Agar friends dikhane hai toh youth show nahin toh kuch nahin. Also having friends in d opposite sex is also shown.
Ya toh ladka-ladki fall in love nahin toh no friendship๐

People say kabir and sanchi are a total no because
1) They share a student teacher relationship.2) Almost 10 yrs age difference3) They have same personalities. So they will be boring to watch.4)Sanchi has already fallen for veer. So now if she falls for kabir after marriage, then the same track of FL falling in love with the husband even though if she was madly in love with someone else.5) Kabir is not related to anyone in this show. So saanchi getting married to him will not progress the story any further.

I feel that though Ekta started saas-bahu it is only in d recent 8-9 years tv became so regressive. While kyunki was running shows like Sarabhai, khichdi, baa bahu, remix were running. The current regressive cycle ka credit I will give to RS. From gopi bahu toh daayan in Simar. While kyunki was saas-bahu drama but thode social issues bhi the jaise marital rape. I so wish Star one was running still

I havnt watched any pakistani shows but I have read a lot of information about it. Most things are so much more realistic from the costumes, makeup, story, setting and the characters don't just consist of good and bad there are grey shaded ones too.
I have also noticed that most Hindi soaps never really focus on indian Muslims, christians, Sikhs and Buddhists ๐ they are almost always exclusively Hindu I dont have a problem with Hindus or anything but its just sad to hardly ever see a show with a different religion.

With regards to a couple being best friends has anyone here seen Nisha aur Uske cousins. The leads had similar personalities and best friends and not necessarily opposite attract waala policy. Same way for AvNeil. Nok-jhok is nice but when it is forced, it takes away d charm of a couple.

In Pakistani shows, they depict triangle so well that you kind of start feeling bad for the 3rd wheel. But in indian for convenience sake they make the 3rd wheel a negative character so that there is no confusion at all.
