Ranjana, Sidney, the Vihaan-Aarushi moments as well as the Moms torturing the Wacko any way they can are salvaging the eps for me. Coming to the 8.7 ep, aw, Vihaan-Aarushi. β€οΈ Still some detachedness on his end because he doesn't know who she is to him yet, but his instinctive decision to take care of her and her reaction to his touch was so sweet. On remembering the road to the hospital, Ranjana, I have no idea. π Would make sense if the Moms gave him directions along the way. But you know how it is with this writing. Still, I'm glad he was given some independence. Wacko wants him completely dependent on her for her own reasons. It was so frustrating for me to see him just sit on the bed watching her scratch her feet and whine. π³ So letting him drive was a good way to start getting him back to who he really is, IMHO. Would love to see Vihaan-Aarushi have their quintessential banter slowly reintroduced even before his memory returns. A couple of quips from him in response to something Aarushi says. This kid needs to tease and smile again. He needs to feel more at home with Aarushi and wonder why (and that already seems to be stirring). But, with these CVs, it's hard to hope for too much. That ArHaan scene was really lovely β€οΈ π³ a nasty part of me did remark that the real Vihaan wouldn't be so comfortable holding and exchanging heart-melting eyelocks with another man's pregnant wife π But like you said, they must be showing his instinctive response to her. And though I was confused by the selective amnesia and felt sad at the formal convo between Vihaan and Saarthi, I too really liked it when Vihaan sat at the wheel. It had a spark of the old Vihaan, the guy who takes charge of situations and is naturally protective and caring π³ I really want to see him smiling wholeheartedly again π With the psycho, the smiles look perfunctory. Have to hand it to Ravish... he's bringing out Vihaan's subconscious discomfort with her very nicely βοΈ And the love and tenderness in Aarushi's eyesβ€οΈ... hayyeee!! I'm surprised Vihaan didn't melt into a puddle when she was gazing at him ππ³The conversations... oh why did you remind me π That is the most unforgivable lapse on part of the CVs for me. Their disregard for the awesomeness of Vihaan and Aarushi's conversations π The way these two used to discuss their thoughts and problems, and exchange cute/funny/crazy/sarcastic/sweet quips... that was what made their love story beautifully and refreshingly different from the rest. I used to wait for their banter in the car, at tea shops and over the phone so eagerly. But that was the first casualty post marriage. Their conversations centred almost solely on the moms and moms ka unlimited problems after the shaadi π₯±
On Vihaan questioning more about Aarushi, I agree! I guess we should be thankful the Wacko's brand of stupid is so very stupid that she leaves Vihaan-Aarushi alone in her eagerness to subordinate Aarushi and assume her stolen role as bahu (which is to ultimately hear what the Doc says and counteract it later). If they are given time to talk, it really would be a perfect time for the subject of Aarushi's husband to come up between them, since the doctor shocked him by addressing her as "Mrs Vastal". Would be interesting to see him ask her about the father of her baby and have her describe his pre-accident self to him. This is something I wanted to see as their first real conversation. We'll see what they give us in the writing. Omggg that sounds so lovely... if the first conversation is on these lines, I will forgive the CVs for a lot of the crap they've thrown at us...On the "amnesia pill", thanks for the explanation of what she said, Sidney. When I watched the episode, even though I couldn't fully understand what she was saying, I realized she has been giving Vihaan something to halt his memory's progress and I wasn't surprised by it. Didn't know there was a pill for that, but this lunatic would be the one to find it. I also doubt she ever took him to any real doctor as she claimed. So the Vatsal women played their cards right. Also like that their own doctor knows something is seriously wrong and seemed to used his discretion until he spoke to Dadi Ma alone. So they're adding to their protective wall around Vihaan. I'm sure that psycho didn't take him to a real doc π‘ She must have taken Vihaan directly to some quack and asked for medicines to block his memories. My poor VihuSpeaking of the Vatsal's protective wall, I wanted Pushpa to punch Wacko in the face! If it weren't for needed contrived drama, she would have just left her in the toilet. Btw, that brief exchange with Manohar-Vihaan broke my heart. π Their friendship needs to be back ASAP.On the sleeping arrangements, Ranjana, I have no idea. I will say this: don't put anything past that vile woman. π€’I know... I'm afraid to find out but I still want to find out π³ how typically female of me πIn the long run, the CVs will do what they feel they need to do. Still, it would do a world of good if they get a better handle on how to write stories for the ratings viewers based on Vihaan-Aarushi's chemistry and their joint chemistry with the Moms. At the moment, even though Aarushi and the Moms are getting more involved, the story still centers on the psycho, IMHO, not on Vihaan-Aarushi. I'd like to see the pace up just a bit, and see the shift to what matters -- more of Vihaan's interactions with his Moms (something with Narmada in particular would be nice in the near future) and more of Vihaan-Aarushi's reconnect. I have no expectations on Vihaan-Aarushi having serious conversations the way they used pre-marriage unless they're written stuck in some remote place together where the Wacko and not even the mothers can get to them. π But if the CVs manage to reintroduce parts of their love chase that we've grown to love and maybe even add new Arhaan-isms we haven't seen before, then they'd have done a good job. Not enough to me to forgive them for this detour into story hell, but maybe enough to soften the blow. We'll see. So true! I too have no expectations on the ArHaan front from these pathetic and cowardly CVs. But they can at least focus on Vihaan's bond with each of his moms, and especially Narmada, as you pointed out. There is so much scope for beautiful and emotional moments in the story at this point. But the entire focus is still on the wacko, who is the most boring person in the show (even including the Pandit family members) π She gets the most scenes and dialogues but those scenes and dialogues are so "gripping" that I feel sleepy in the middle of the episode π₯±ππ₯±
Sidney, I won't be surprised at all if the baby is a boy either. π If I'm remembering correctly, the Moms already said they want to name the first child "Arhaan", so, yeah, he's already got his name. Who knows, it may also be pretty poetic if Vihaan delivers the baby himself. π I didn't want it this way, but it seems they've made the baby the linchpin for Vihaan's memory recovery, so we'll see what the CVs have planned. Vihaan delivering the baby!! Ooo... that actually sounds very possible!
