On the "awesome" sentence, I couldn't resist. 😳 πŸ˜† Glad you liked it. So true on missing Vihaan. After watching 8.5's episode, I missed him even more. While he thinks he's happy, he's still not his true self, which he doesn't realize yet.

Fully on the same page with you on what can be done with vamp/villian characters, Ranjana. In this case, certain acting choices within scenes may factor into why it's difficult to take her in. For me, though, most of the blame rests on faulty characterization for her at the expense of the main characters. Also, faulty plotting. I get that this genre has certain melodramatic expectations and demands, but at least let it come naturally from stories that focus on the main pairing's chemistry and the ensemble cast's chemistry. At this point, I've decided to just sit back and ride this out. The CVs will do what they feel they must, so I'm keeping expectations low and staying open for pleasant surprises.

And 8.5's episode was a pleasant surprise. πŸ˜ƒ Thank you, CVs and writing peeps! Finally the story is pushed a little after getting some set-up I'll take this for however long it lasts.

Sidney, I immediately remembered your spec while watching as well. Like you both have said, the Aarushi factor was unexpected, but along the lines of what you thought. It would be nice if the Moms and Aarushi have a chance to continue and finish what they've started today.

I'm so glad we've gotten to see these sides to Aarushi and the Moms again. These are the feisty, strong-willed women we've known. I agree that Aarushi being the engineer of the prank was a really good option, and she was able to not only reinvigorate the Moms' hope, but also start on her answer to the Wacko's challenge. It produced very entertaining scenes. This Wacko is playing games with Vihaan's mind, his marriage and his bond with his mothers, so I'm glad the writing gave us a chance to see what a sniveling coward she is (and eager to play the victim) when the tables promise to get turned on her. I was also reminded of the wonderful chemistry this cast has. Everyone's personalities came through so distinctly as they worked together, some knowingly and others inadvertently, for this common cause -- Harpreet's almost uncontrollable exuberance, Dadi Ma's quiet approval (accompanied by her own quiet warning), Neelima's enjoyment of the whole moment and Mini's independent reality check for the Wacko. I could watch that part with Mini and everyone's reactions on a loop all day. πŸ˜†

On the Pandit side of things, again there are some contrivances with how they've started Girish's sensitivity to the baby not being his own child, but I'm giving up that fight. His reaction is grounded in reality and rather natural for these situations, so I appreciate that. Not looking forward to another obsessed woman on the show when we haven't seen the backend of the psycho that is in the Vatsal house yet. Hope this comes in measured doses and makes a little bit of sense.

As frustrating as this track has been, Ravish and Mugdha's performances truly have been too good to miss.

I also was worried that Vihu or the psycho will see Harpreet's mirth and realise something is fishy πŸ˜†
Mini maa scene was really good! πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜† but I'm not very confident that the CVs will continue in this vein because this kind of stuff is fun and entertaining, and they usually prefer to use as little of their intelligence and wit as possible while writing the tracks πŸ˜³πŸ˜†

I know what you mean...it is tough to see Vihaan in this state. His misery makes me miss his actual self even more. His naughty and cheerful nature got muted quite a bit since ArHaan's marriage, but in this track, he is actually exuding unhappiness :((

The cast members really share superb chemistry, and that makes it easy for viewers to believe that they are a real family 😳

As for Girish, - that's exactly how I feel too. His emotions are understandable, and his behaviour and responses are in line with the Girish we had seen at the beginning of the show. The CVs had turned him into an entirely different person for a while... probably to get his character into the current mess πŸ˜† but the Girish we are seeing now is much more tolerable and interesting than the one that seemed to be oozing goodness out of every pore πŸ˜†

*Yawn*

Booorrrinnnggg episode πŸ₯±πŸ₯± Scenes that could be wrapped in two minutes were dragged for nearly 10 minutes πŸ˜‘πŸ˜• I almost dozed off in between πŸ₯± twice πŸ˜† And "trip-n-catch"??? really? that is the inauguration to ArHaan's fresh love story I can bring myself to forgive this one because it was a way for Vihaan to feel the child kicking. But if they are going to base Vihaan's renewed feelings towards Aarushi on his ability to catch a pregnant servant falling into his arms on a regular basis... oh dear God the thought is 🀒 πŸ₯±

I want conversations/laughter/comfort/affection to be the basis, as it was the first time... not this tripe and much abused tactic to enforce physical contact between the leadsπŸ₯±

And what was that rubbish in the precap? They have to "trick" Vihaan into going to a doctor?? πŸ˜• The mothers can't tell their son that they want him to undergo a check-up because he had gotten hurt so badly six months ago that he lost his memory ?? πŸ˜• Hope the CVs have some scrap of an explanation ready for this utter nonsense...

Ummm...Difference of opinion here :p I really liked the arHaan part yesterday... Actually, the baby-kicking angle was really cute & touching I felt :))) and coming to precap, I think they haven't done anything stupid...

I understand what u're trying to say and its true...But in this case, there is a hurdle-cum-psycho! -_- if they revealed the truth, then that wacko would've started her nonsensical rants again & vihu would've listened! :| they had no other option as such!

haha no worries πŸ˜† I'm quite sure I'm the only ArHaan fan who was annoyed yesterday πŸ˜† It's just that I absolutely cannot stand the "trip-n-catch" routine πŸ€’πŸ˜† In yesterday's episode, like I mentioned in my post, it was okay because it was about the baby. But I'm worried that in the future epis, the CVs will base ArHaan's new bond on this sort of "accidental" physical contact πŸ₯± not any genuinely sweet scenes. Especially since the next focus is going to be on Girish's adultery, according to the spoiler articles.

And the precap - I know what they are trying to show, But I just can't accept that these eight strong, educated women are dancing to the tunes of an illiterate and delusional character like Vibha. These are women who have built and run business empires. They cannot think of a way to gently convince their son to just go to the doctor? They are afraid of someone as pathetic as that wacko? I know I know... this is a TV show. But like Peacejoylove has been saying, the CVs are wrecking the characterisations of the family members to accommodate and reinforce the importance of a stupid and insane woman πŸ₯±
