Ranjana, Sidney, I'm not surprised 8.4's episode went the way it did. Typical "triangle" and interloper idiocy. π₯± I agree on the written updates, Sidney. That's what I do as well since I see the episodes later than you all. Whatever it takes to get through this.
Aarushi was awesome and saved this 8.4 episode, since the writing has reduced Vihaan to a pawn and a sad version of himself at the moment (head buried in the arm of a crazy woman who is using his amnesia for her benefit, and assaulting his wife and mothers). Aarushi rallied the Moms and kept Manohar's spirits up as much as she could. Then she took on the Petite Wacko's challenge by striking at the heart of Wacko's insecurities -- in Aarushi herself, in Vihaan, and in Arhaan. Aarushi isn't scared of her, but Aarushi terrifies her and Aarushi knows it. Aarushi needs to help get Vihaan back to his awesomeness so that they can be awesome together again.
The preview is something I anticipated since last Tuesday or Wednesday -- Vihaan protecting the Wacko because she's all he knows post-accident. Based on what happens in 8.4, I'm unsure what leads to his ultimatum. Vihaan could be making this decision on his own. Or the Wacko could have manipulated this move as a response to Aarushi's counter-challenge. Will have to see what the motivation is. Whatever the motivation, won't be surprised if Aarushi is the one who ensures they stay or encourages one of the Moms to speak up, and the Wacko is promised all the trappings of "bahu-hood". If not Aarushi, then the Moms will probably break down and say they'll do what he wants. Anything to keep Vihaan home. If that's what happens, how I wish they could lay down some conditions of they're own, but their hands seem to be tied.
Ranjana, not surprised about the central focus. The amount of time they gave her mental process and reactions since the end of June indicated, to me at least, that this is the Wacko's story. Vihaan-Aarushi appear to be minor players in her story, victims of her psychosis. In a matter of episodes, she's transformed from a quiet intrusive creep to a brazen chatterbox vampire who is running circles around lead characters twisted like pretzels to service her crazy. Now it's evolving into an Aarushi vs. Wacko story with shades of Vihaan-Wacko and a promise of Vihaan-Aarushi. π I'm bracing for additional Vihaan-Wacko scenes, complete with Wacko telling Vihaan he needs to stay away from Aarushi. She pretends she's as sweet as peach around him and reveals the viper she truly is with everyone else. What a rude awakening he's in for, if the CVs let him have one before he has memory recovery. π Regardless, the CVs/writing need to start moving this along. Don't know how TRP viewers are feeling about this week so far two days in, but, for me, this is beginning to feel stagnant because Wacko's blustering and blackmailing has eaten two episodes whole. We'll see how Wednesday goes. The character is not meant to be liked, but she could at least be entertaining if she's sucking up so much airtime. She is neither. For the sake of storytelling, I understand certain things need to be established first on Vihaan's mental state and so on before they move forward, but I'm already exhausted (there's only so much eye-rolling I can do before I get a massive headache). IMHO, Vihaan-Aarushi scenes as well as Vihaan-Moms scenes need to start showing up sooner rather than later to help move story along and break up the monotonous insanity. But it's out of our hands. I'm just going to ride this out.
On the baby, I'm unsure why the baby hasn't played a role yet, if it's meant to. That may be a good thing. In the long run, it was better the baby was not a point of focus in Wacko's actual challenge or Aarushi's response. Let that craziness be about Aarushi's real connect with Vihaan vs. the Wacko's fake foolishness. Also, IMHO, the baby shouldn't be the reason Aarushi re-connects with Vihaan. It might be better if they are allowed to recover on their own steam, and they've got plenty of it. The CVs just have to stop being so scared to explore it. I'm still at a loss as to why they needed Aarushi pregnant at all, so maybe the baby may figure into the track later and be put in danger, as Sidney and I were speculating earlier. Or maybe there's something else we haven't yet considered.
Forgot about this from earlier:
@Peacejoylove - Your post made me laugh so hard LOLLOL how I wish the CVs/writers see the posts and realise that they are making bigger fools of themselves with every passing day DeadLOLLOL
π I hope the CVs find it funny too. Maybe it's intentional because they've really taken leaps into parts unknown with her. They have her rationalize so ridiculously that they can't be serious about her. Yet they have her taking up so much precious airtime and undermining smarter, more important characters logic be damned.
