This thread has become so quiet. Ranjana, Sidney, I've missed reading your daily episode reactions. Completely understand if real life has taken over, or you're just not in the mood to watch or comment on the the eps, if you're watching. After Monday's ep, I watched Wednesday (muted all the tedious parts) and found that I enjoyed the Vihaan-Aarushi-Kasturi parts. Vihaan intuitively knowing part of the way to the Pandits may explain his driving to the hospital the other day, Ranjana. 😆 But I get what they were trying to do, and it gave Aarushi some reassurance that if she makes a real effort, it won't be in vain. I didn't really like the use of trickery/staging on Aarushi's part to spark the emergence of Vihaan's true self. He's being tricked enough, so I would have preferred Aarushi's methods to be more natural, even though it could be argued that it was a "desperate times, desperate measures" type situation. Still, his true self came and I was glad to see him. Vihaan's nature is to help and protect, and his instinct to protect Aarushi and his Moms can get pretty intense so it was nice to see it again. They also had him quickly and ironically mention that Aarushi's husband isn't around. Not sure if they'll explore that further. We'll see.
Going back a little bit on Zee's likely involvement, Ranjana, definitely. No doubt the production and writing sabotaged themselves very early, but a production house that is already scrambling may get even more rattled when Zee puts pressure and/or meddles in the creative aspects. And they do meddle, as far as I've gathered.
I agree that the stories left untold is another painful reality. Potentially powerful material to explore with Narmada and they had foreshadowed Harpreet's husband in June. Even Mini-Raunak. The show's concept was different in a good way, had a feel-good tone, a great reserve of potential conflicts to explore and resolve, and wonderful actors in the roles.
True on our luck so far as fans. We were dealt the badly-written memory loss and psycho vamp drama, which was bad enough. But it could have been worse with a witchcraft story or a widow romance story (which I saw happen on another Zee show a few years ago after the male lead character was killed off), among other things. 🤔 All things considered, I agree we've had a really good opportunity to see a wonderful love story established, even though things have gone haywire over the last couple of months. When the show does end, ending it with its original cast -- with Ravish, Mugdha, Farida et al. -- and with Vihaan-Aarushi happy with their baby would actually be a nice gift.
Sidney, QH is a rare breed of Zee show that lost their concept long ago, but still got rather good ratings in their original timeslot, even after experiencing lows. I've only liked 3 shows on Zee over the past few yeas and I've never seen any other show rebound on Zee like QH has. Never seen anything like it. However, this new "season" at their new time will be the real test. Although the CVs of SS didn't go the depths of crazy like some others, they still helped to paralyze it by how they handled the Priyanka track, IMHO. Recovery was always possible and sustainable, especially if they are able to read patterns established by the BARC viewers/core viewers. But it is/was up to the CVs to really build stories on Vihaan-Aarushi's chemistry and their chemistry with the Moms.
Very cool about Zee Anmol. I hope you guys get a chance to see SS again from start .
