Mumbai track was needed to show what living in a nuclear family did to Ishan and Suhana. While Ishan adjusted, suhana was cribbing most of the time and I enjoyed the kaamwali bai track as a mumbaikar.And Sona's agnisakshi track was unnecessary and they could have shown a happily married Sona and how she helps Suhana to adjust to mumbai and its ways.
I watched SGP from the beginning as a silent member for a long time and then jumped into the forum.
I was surprised when some consistently showed anti suhana feelings and tried their best to support disha and rano. And they attacked even badimaa who always had a soft corner for suhana.
And they had such clout, they will make fun of posts and post makers instead of simply opposing and giving their point of view in a normal way.
About the new show that replaced. I expected something better from a Hatsoff House and I am disappointed. I think they were in a hurry and thus they could not come up with something better.
Meanwhile rival channels are coming up with different concepts.
Starplus might be surviving on saas bahu and its different variations, but they give something different like SGP, Maryada and now Satyamev Jayate.
While the other shows have started to have mainly rajasthani for serious themes and gujarati for funny soaps, SGP showed typical delhi people with their own set of idisyncracies which was a refreshing change. Laidback, fun loving and also big hearted. And without pallus.
And Suhana is as unique. She is delightfully dumb, over the top,short tempered, loved fun, full of love for others and quite forgiving and never mean.
I loved Inder Ilesh antics and their pranks contributed a lot.
I am glad that badimaa was consistent throughout without changing colors just like the elderly couple. And also Radha bua.
Hatsoff to SGP. Pun intended. No offence.

When they tried serious tracks, it became burdened and boring.
Instead of taking the entire bengali story, they should have taken the basic concept and scripted their own thing.
I felt BENGALI version had the more reality & Average Middle Class touch . I like them & also Kashayps . There is no comparison but both r different .
I personally feel that both Indian Serial Viwers & makers think alike . Nothing more than Love , marriage , nokJhok , Saas - Bahu saaga ... Etc . Yes SGP was different but SGP too fits in to that section !!!! They never show progress in Relationships !!!!
One thing I just could not understand. Rich brats can be spoilt brats but they cant be that dumb. They may not know certain things but they are also super smart.
In Suhana's case she was all three [ Rich Brat , Spoiled Brat & Dumb Brat ] I agree no person can b that dumb !!!!!! Real Q. is who liked that Suhana !!!!!!! 😕

SGP when aired brought about such a needed change and it became the most discussed and admired show which topped the charts. It kept up the pace throughout and we waited just to join the mad gang and enjoy everyday just to watch their madness. The leads, Ilesh and Inder.
Then the forum was taken over by those who ridiculed the lead actress, ridiculed the episodes and generally hounded out the admirers. They used the forum for personal development rather than SGP development. While all the other forums loved their lead and defended like anything.
And SGP producers got tired and went to produce one soap which is still unable to take off even an inch. They showered all their love for this new show and neglected SGP but what a failure they are facing.
I congratulate Ragini Khanna who was the soul of this show and carried the show to such great heights with her madness.
