Talk to Supriya Pilgaonkar and you will realise how knowledgeable she is as an actor. She talks in length about theatre, different art forms, diverse techniques of dialogue delivery and lots more. Recently at a party, she caught up with Tellychakkar.com and said that she is bored of Mumbai and would love to set out and explore the majestic North East. "I am dying to fly off to some distant village in North East and just relax. That's very much in the itinerary but for now I and my family are leaving for Scotland towards the end of this month. This is a much needed vacation." Vacations are always good. But does she like to party a lot? "Never. People who know me will tell you that I never go to any event or a party until and unless it is very important." Supriya further shared with us that at one point of time in life she and her husband, Sachin, seriously considered of packing their bags and shifting to Pune in search of a quieter place. "We wanted to but could not as the entire entertainment industry is based in Mumbai." We understand, Supriya. Furthermore, she has always been an exponent of theatre and has been actively participating in it for years now. "Working in theatre is always more challenging and fun. To face the live audience and perform is something majestic. But I am sad that the art form is dying a slow death. With so much shows and channels available, people don't bother to venture out of their homes and make an effort to watch a play. But I hope things will get better in the future," ended Supriya on a positive note. | |
