While it looked for the longest time like the vile and vicious Dushyant (Pankaj Tripathi) will be successful in making daughter-in-law Sarojini's (Shiny Doshi) life hell and driving her out of his house...here comes a surprising twist in Zee TV's popular show 'Sarojini' with the entry of another firebrand - Manisha aka Mannu who is head over heels in love with Somendra (Mohit Sehgal).
The character is played by the talented actor Aanchal Khurana who has previously won hearts with her flawless portrayal of the conniving Charu in Zee TV's show 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke'. The petite actor will enter the show, this time as, the daughter of a wealthy Thakur, donning an all-new different avatar, leading to unimaginable twists & turns that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats!
Aanchal's entry happens at a crucial juncture where Dushyant in his latest bid to separate Somendra & Sarojini tries to get Manisha slyly married to his son! The character Mannu has a tinge of grey and Aanchal is ecstatic about the role which is completely different from her previous outing as Charu. Playing the daughter of a wealthy Thakur in Pratapgarh, Mannu is the apple of everyone's eyes in her family. Though she is a school dropout, Mannu tries to clumsily flaunt her 'good' command over English with her frequent use of the strangest English phrases in the wrong context, giving a comical spin to her character.
Aanchal is thrilled to bits by this development as she feels that the viewers will be surprised to the core with her new grey character which will be comical and entertaining at the same time. The spunky actor says, "After playing Charu, a mean & menacing girl, I wanted to opt for something which offers something new for my fans and this character, being an unusual one, fit the bill. Mannu is a dabangg girl as she is stubborn and temperamental and wants everything to happen the way she wants at any cost. She is in love with Somendra and can go to any lengths to be his wife and pose a threat for Sarojini. I have to work hard on my gait, language to portray the boisterous Mannu"
"Mannu's character will have a certain unintentional comical element, like her penchant for using English words just to show off and how she flaunts a gun gifted by her father, Sangram Singh as a part of the shagun for her wedding. Now apart from Dushyant, Sarojini will have another nemesis to lock horns with!" she adds.
What are Manisha' real intentions as she claims to be Somendra's wife with Dushyant's support in the house...?
