Repeat telecast is imp for increasing viewers interest in Show,Its not for TRP. Unfortunately, 'Sarojini' all repeat telecast is not suitable for office/college going viewers. Its very clear that,Its not a typical 'Saas-Bahu' saga,in this case normal 'saas-bahu' viewers has no reason to change their channel for this show.

Low n very limited promotion is another big reason for this less TRP.


I was aware about YHM trp being summed up.. Why wouldnt other channel count repeats till 12am slot in trp if SP does?
anyways either trp is recorded or not... Bit it would definitely increase viewership if late night its repeat, students n those who are working cant watch at 6.30pm for the same reason many of us has been requesting Zee but no response...

Also I think due to faulty initial promotions they weren't able to establish the nature of the show. Coz by the first promos and montage one would think it's a sasur bahu show but now that I'm watching it's more of a youth show. But because they didn't established this fact in the promos it's stuck in between with the aunties not interested coz it's youth oriented while the youth mislead by the promos thinks it's saas bahu stuff. So basically we are stuck in the middle. They need to clear their stand and target the specific audience through their promos now so that this show could be fitted into a specific genre.

completely agree Gina... First of all promo itself was misleading.. One would think its saas bahu show but its more like a youth show, and its given te skot when youth cant watching, either they are studying, have classes ir are working.. Poor promotion and no repeat at night was anyway affecting Sarojini but rival channel show, promoting on hoge level n giving 10.30pm repeat has been a major disadvantage..Zee tv is the oldeat channel but they fail when it comes to proper planning.. Or they are just partial towards some of their "favorite" shows..

TAM or BARC never summed any repeats viewership in their Final TRP Chart. YHM always share their individual TRP figure on both slots (7.30pm n 11pm).

SP is 1 channel who used 11pm n 11.30pm slot in under Prime Time slot. Kahin Toh Hoga, Kayamat, Kahin kisi Roz, Maryada n so many other shows were leading in this slot. Other channel tried to catch this slot but they failed a decent viewership in this slot. For example, Sony-Kuchh toh Log Kahenge n Colors-Beintehaa.

Late night Telecast always work to increase new viewers interest in the show. If,Viewers are not aware wid show concept n story line they'll never change their channel for watch any particular show. 6.30pm slot is very odd for student n any office working people

exactly marketing and hype is extremely important in the entertainment business today even more than the content an attractive looking show which is visible everywhere will grab the audience's attention and trps as well. Harsh but true it's all about the hype and selling your product today because amongst so many shows today ppl will prefer watching the ones that they're aware of. So if zee needs to target the youth for it, then firstly don't expect very high trps coz most of them watch the show online or late night there fore online promotions on FB and twitter will also help create buzz for it. Secondly they need to shoot promos that will attract the youth which means centered on the leads and targeting more youth related problems like education, degree, job and finding the right partner. Also promos on music channels coz the youth watches them the most will help in picking up the ratings. Because the makers can only give you the show and content but presenting it to the audience and making it visible enough is the Channel's job which sadly zee isn't doing so well because of unequal treatment to it's shows.
