Our nikamma CM BBP is at home as usual, giving victory poses so he can get his photo taken. In the middle he is telling Shukla that he wants the Pooja story out of the papers by tomorrow. Right then Arti arrives and tells him that he has won and she's willing to do whatever he wants. He tries giving them the usual BBP drama of how much he cares about them but Harivansh interrupts that plan by falling at his feet and begging him to free Krish.
BBP takes Arti aside and says things are not that simple. If Krish is to come out of jail then someone else must take his place because this is a matter of law. Arti listens to him with tears and anger pooling her eyes while Shukla keeps Harivansh busy elsewhere.
When they come back home Sumitra wants to know what BBP said and Harivansh says the amount he knows. Arti keeps the part BBP told her to herself and Sumitra goes into her usual mode of what is wrong with you people and why can't you just quit while you're ahead. Arti says nothing and goes to see Pooja.
She breaks down in tears as she tells Pooja what BBP said to her and says she can't tell their parents the truth because she can't say something like that to their face. She hugs Pooja close and tells her to please come back to life because after Arti is gone, she will have to take care of their parents. Unseen by Arti, Pooja's hand starts to twitch and shake.

Dev is sitting at home remembering Arti's words and getting drunk and Kaka tries to stop him but he pushes Kaka until he falls. Dev gets up as he realizes what he did and checks on Kaka and Kaka is glad to see that he hasn't drowned all his humanity in alcohol. Dev says alcohol has nothing to do with the death of his humanity,
According to his dukhbari dastaan, he was suspended for doing his job honestly but came back once his brother was diagnosed with cancer. Unable to afford the treatments on his government salary, he chose to take bribes and this is killing him every day but he will continue to do it if it means it saves his brother's life. He apparently never realized he was ruining the lives of innocent people in search of justice until he met Arti and she put her trust in him and saw hope for her sister. But Arti comes second to his brother.
The next morning, Sumitra and Harivansh are surprised to find Arti and Billu missing. Sumitra smells a rat but Harivansh says he now knows better than to go against his wife and he doesnt know anything.
At the police station, Krish is led out of jail and is surprised to find himself being released when he didnt agree to Govind Shankar's demands. Arti calls in his parents to take him home and tells him not to worry about it. She says Krish is the very best friend she and Pooja have ever had. Billu is lsitening with tears down his cheeks. Krish's parents are now very nice and polite since Arti has freed their son. They all bid goodbye,
GS says now the real work starts.
Precap: Arti tells the press she registered the case against BBP to blackmail him into paying her. He is innocent. She's in jail and GS is taunting her. Dev receives a call that his brother has taken a turn for the worse in Delhi and he asks Kaka if he should stay here with Arti or go to his brother.
I felt really bad for Arti today. She was a really good friend and sister today.😭
