Short Update: Dev has a younger brother with cancer and that's why he needs the money. Krish is tortured within an inch of his life so he signs the papers and his parents blame Arti and Pooja for his state. Billu tells Arti to quit romanticizing Dev but she doesn't get the memo until she goes to his house and fires hazaar irritating questions at him only to have him tell her to get lost. She decides to go meet BBP herself the next day so she can save Krish.
Dev has a younger brother with Stage 3 cancer and he has stopped responding to chemo. He begs the doctor to save his brother's life because he has no one else to call family.
Krish is being tortured by Govind Shankar and GS has beaten him so much he's tired. BBP calls to check if Krish has confessed yet and says if GS can't break him, it's time for him to seek early retirement. GS is angry and says he'll definitely break Krish. He again tortures Krish and goes even more violent. Krish screams in pain.
Arti and Billu are waiting to see him and are discussing Dev's sudden disappearance. Billu tells Arti to wake up and realize Dev is not the hero she thought he was any more than BBP was the god they all thought he was. Arti is not convinced much to Billu's angry frustration. She says why would Dev side against them when he has nothing against them? Billu says he would work for BBP for money.
(Honestly, these Tiwari sisters are such idiots sometimes! The moment they are in love they find the stupidest excuses for the men they love. And the men they love are all scum!😡)
Billu and Arti begin to argue with the police constable on duty to meet Krish after waiting three hours when his parents finally arrive. They're angry to see Arti and blame Krish's involvement with her family for his present predicament.
(Which is absolutely true so I don't know why the CVs were giving Krish's mother's dialogues the zor ka jhatka treatment)
Krish is brought out by then and he can't walk and is black and blue and has difficulty speaking or breathing. Arti angrily questions the constables why Krish was in this condition. Krish's father says she is responsible for Krish's condition and his mother says it's all because of her characterless sister. Arti goes from there in tears despite Krish's weak protests.
She goes straight to Dev's house and is delighted to see him there, drunk out of his mind and clutching a bottle. She speaks a mile a minute about how sorry she is for misjudging him and how he needs to do something for Krish and how much she believes in him and blah blah blah until he snaps and pushes her away.
Finally the truth is before Arti and she realizes she's repeated her mistake and trusted the wrong man and she slaps Dev with full force across his face. She crumples to the floor weeping about Pooja and how she's so betrayed. Dev's Kaka comes there and watches helplessly like all Kakas do at times like this.
Dev says she's only fit to cry like that because she's too naive for her own good. She thought she could bring down a CM when she was a nobody. He tells Kaka to tell the driver to drop her home. Arti angrily gets to her feet and says he's already left her in the middle of her fight, he doesn't need to drop her anywhere else. She says she always thought BBP was the most lowdown man in the universe but Dev is even worse. She walks out and leaves Dev with tears in his eyes.
(I guess I'm supposed to feel sorry for Dev right now but... how expensive does even cutting edge cancer treatment get? Especially when the patient isn't responding to treatment? Enough for a man to become the CBI's most corrupt officer?)
Sumitra is on her favorite topic - Arti needs to lay down weapons because now it's ruining Krish's life too. Arti says tomorrow she'll go meet BBP herself. Sumitra looks like this wasn't her plan. 😆 Harivansh says he will also come.
Precap: Arti folds her hands and begs BBP's pardon. She says she and her family will withdraw the case and return to Pachmarhi. BBP looks shocked.
