So the plot is slowly inching forward. This reminds me of the time Harivansh got arrested and nobody could figure out what the hell was going on but one week into his faltoo drama, the show took us to where we all wanted to go. Tiny rays of hope coming up!
Arti is standing under the merciless sun, the mechanic's wife and son peer at her through the window. She says she won't go no matter what because she won't be able to face her sister otherwise. She imagines Pooja waking up in the ICU and whispering Papa?
Harivansh answers and wakes up from his light doze at Pooja's bedside. It was his dream. He tells God that if He has shown him this dream, then let it come true as well. At the mechanic's home, the mechanic comes out at night and sees a sun blistered Arti is still hanging on grimly to the fence outside his home. He closes the door on her.
He goes to his wife and asks her for a glass of water. She sullenly pours it out for him. But then she and their son are shocked to see him take the glass outside. He hands it over to Arti and asks her to drink it, promising her that he will tell her everything. Arti has tears of gratitude in her eyes as she gulps it down and the mechanic's family look proudly at him.
The next morning, Govind Shankar and flunky are preparing to go grab BBP's paid goons who're going to falsely confess to the crime. There is a lot of evil snickering going on. 🤢 GS is sitting with his back to the door and instructs his flunky to grab Pooja's jewelry (so, are we to assume Pooja bought all that bling or did BBP buy it for her or is is not hers at all? Because she doesn't wear that kind of stuff and BBP bought her expensive but delicate designer stuff previously whereas this all looks like khandani zewar). Arti enters the room just as the flunky takes the parcel out of the drawer and calls GS. GS says Arti has him so traumatized, he's hearing her voice everywhere. But Arti calls him again and he jumps up.
Arti says she's brought him an eye witness. GS gets a dangerous look on his face as he inspects the poor mechanic who is getting flustered and asks him his name. He tells Arti to stay quiet when she attempts to introduce him and learns from the mechanic that his name is Kishen Lal Bishnoi and he's a mechanic in Idgah Hills. It's clear GS is using his caste and poverty against him as he treats him poorly and tells him to run along. Arti tries to protest but GS says not to waste him time and goes back to perch on his desk with his back to the door. The flunky sneaks the jewels back into the drawer while Arti is not looking.
Just then Krish enters with the media and asks GS to repeat what he just said to Arti. GS breaks into a sweat when he realizes Arti has come with full preparation and Krish smirks at him 😆 GS sends them all out with the flunky and promises to get the eye witness' testimony. He thinks to himself that BBP is going to destroy him before he's satisfied.
BBP and Rangoli are having a hilariously stiff photo session. He's holding her hand and posing like the poseur he is. Rangoli says he's caught her hand like Pooja is between them. BBP adjusts his grip on Rangoli's hand and says he hasn't let go of her hand and it's all in her head. She says she hopes he's speaking the truth. She wishes she could talk to her husband instead of a politician. BBP looks grim when he promises her that she soon will do exactly that. His phone rings and it's GS.
Upon being informed of Arti's new move, BBP says if GS is going to wait around for Arti then obviously she's going to steam far ahead. He asks GS if he performed the raid and caught the "shooters". GS explains that he was on his way when Arti burst in and ruined all his plans. BBp says to worry about that later and to ahead and raid and cuts the phone on a gulping GS.
Rangoli wants to know what happened and BBP says not to worry. Giridhar comes running up right then, panting to tell them the news. BBP looks contemptuously from one to the other and says lo, G has come to answer her question. He walks away from there while brother and sister stare angrily after him.
At the hospital, Harivansh is now feeding himself. Bhavna is watching him while Sumitra serves him. Suddenly the news reports about Arti finding the eye witness and Harivansh no longer wants to eat. He listens fixedly and then claps slowly with great pride. Sumitra is looking angrily at him. She says they have yet to get past the pain of one daughter's actions, now they have to wait and see what the other daughter's actions bring them. Harivansh remains in front of the TV, his expression angry and determined.
(When the weak lose their temper, they really lose their temper. Harivansh is truly angry for the first time in his life I think because this time, the injustice isn't toward him, but his baby girl)
Back in the police station, the mechanic is helping the sketch artist while the media try to get footage. GS and his flunky are marveling about Brij and how he's so unconcerned even as they're all going to pieces. They're scared that they're going to be sacrificed while he skates free somehow. Arti comes up to GS and he again does drama. Arti asks him how long he's going to take to find the hitmen. A frustrated GS says he's sent his man out to get a magic wand and as soon as he returns, they'll zap them up 🤣
At the haveli, Giridhar and Rangoli are having a meltdown and G. finally calls Daddaji. He begins to explain the problem when D. smartly tells him that he doesn't want to hear it. (Hmmm, do they have the term "plausible deniability" in India? Is that why Daddaji ran away on this mysterious trip? Maybe he's angling for the CM's post after sacrificing Brij) He tells G. to listen to whatever BBP says and follow his orders exactly. G. looks furiously at BBP who is oh-so-casually scratching his chin and looking like a cat who ate all the cream. 😆 Rangoli asks G. what happened and G. says D. cut the line. Shocked, she tries to call D. but G. passes on D.'s message to trust their fates to BBP. Brother and sister once again glare at BBP who says if they showed even a fraction of the trust Daddaji showed then life would be easier all around.
Arti is giving Pooja a hospital bath and says now she can meet her eyes at last. She confesses that she hasnt been able to forgive herself for getting to the house so late that day. She was also scared that the men will try to kill Pooja again. So as soon as they're caught, she can breathe a sigh of relief. She wishes she could tell her mother all this but she can't. Sumitra is still angry at her.
An excited Krish comes outside and knocks on the door to get Arti's attention. Arti lovingly tucks her sister into bed and then goes outside to be told that the police have already made an arrest. The men are going to produced in front of the court the next day. Krish pumps his fist (faltoo kahin ka - what did he do? Fine, so he's a good sort but phir bhi...😆) An array of expression go over Arti's face as she listens to him speak with tears pooling in her eyes.
Next day Arti arrives at the courthouse with Krish and the media immediately surround her. They compliment her on doing the police's job and ask her if she still believes this was not a robbery. She says she's sure and now that they have an eye witness, and the men, they will all know for themselves. GS arrives with the men hooded and held with ropes (like beef to the slaughter or something) and glares at Arti through his shades. He then smiles at the gulping mechanic and leads the men to the court.
Arti continues speaking to the media with the mechanic and Krish in tow when Bhaiyyaji ki sawari comes screeching to a halt and Brijbhushan Pandey steps out in full aviators. He tries a half smile on a shocked Arti but it fades before the full weight of her and Krish's unforgiving glares.
Precap: they're all sitting in the court and the prosecutor asks the mechanic if these are the men he saw. The hoods are taken off and it's definitely BBP's hired patsy goons. Everyone is tense to see what the mechanic says. He looks at BBP.
So obviously the mechanic has been bought, and the goons will say that they were robbers and since Arti found the eye witness herself, if she now says he's been bought, BBP can easily damage her in the press as delusional and vengeful.
I have a feeling this game of cat and mouse is going to go on until Pooja wakes up at a tense moment when anything could happen and everyone will be left zapped.
