Hasn't your second innings on TV been better than the first outing? I don't agree. My first show, Kulvaddhu, was a learning experience. As for Santaan and Chhoona Hai Aasmaan, they've given me a chance to play dia- metrically opposite characters. So what went wrong with Kulvaddhu? I still don't know. We were celebrating the high TRPs when suddenly we heard that the show was going off the air. It was said that you were a little too plump to play the lead. I don't deny that I was plump then. I've lost around six kilos now. But you know when a show goes wrong, everything about it is said to be wrong. Did you go into a depression after Kulvaddhu? Not really. I remember shooting for the last scene, though. It was meant to be a happy moment but I kept crying.. I just couldn't smile. How tough was it getting work after Kulvaddhu ended? It wasn't really difficult. I was offered a role in Ardhangini almost immediately. Any regrets about not having taken it up? Nope. It was an out-and-out negative character. I didn't want to play a vamp so early on in my career. What about Shikha in Chhoona Hai Aasmaan then? Shikha isn't negative.. she's just aggres- sive and brash. Which rat ate up your wig on the show? (Laughs) A mouse called Sandiip Sik- cand! I'm really thankful to him. I enjoy playing Shikha. Gaurav Khanna and you are believed to be pranksters on the sets of Santaan. True? False! Actually it's Diwakar (Pundir) and , Sudeep (Sahir) who with their seedha saadha faces start a riot. Then they retreat into a corner and watch me and Gaurav get reprimanded. Are you happy doing a multi-starrer show like Santaan? Absolutely. The pressure gets divided and each character has his or her viewership on the show. Would you like to be a part of a mythological show? With your hideous wig in Chhoona… you could play Hidamba! Ha ha ha! Probably. How about a reality show? Dance shows definitely but not singing contests. I can't sing to save my life. That's hardly a criterion anymore. (Laughs) Yeah, that's true!
