For me Rudhra really fell in my eyes when he slapped his girlfriend - it was really disgraceful and demeaning. And it is going to hard to view him as the lead and someone to "like" when he behaves in this manner.

Yup , your right.
If your brother slap you ππ or you slap him nothing happens.Even when a wife slaps her husband doesnt matters that much but when a husband or future husband slaps his wife or future wife its really disrespectful for the girl.
When a man slaps a woman it is disgraceful - men are often physically stronger and in a position of power - often financial - in many relationships. Slapping in general is unacceptable but women slapping men in a fit of anger is rare and often they get slapped or beaten further, so this behavior is RARE.
But the serial directors also wants to show some reality in their show and they should show.In this world , many husbands are like that who respects their wife very much but this world also contains the bad husband who considers there wife nothing. In india too even in pakistan. In small and poor villages , wife's are not treated with respect , they are never given equal status as the men. What reality are they showing here? This is NOT what they want to show - a case of domestic violence - this is supposed to be the leading character, the hero of the show. We're supposed to like him. How are we supposed to like him when he goes around slapping women? A male character that slaps women and has no respect for them? It thought it was so disgraceful and such a degrogatory act. If I was with a guy who slapped me, I don't care how much I loved him, I NEVER want to see him again. If he can slap me it a) shows he does not respect me and b) if he can slap me today, what will he do to me tomorrow when he is upset? Beat me up. Is that the reality that we want to see? Many shows show that husband loves , respects there wife's alot and are henpecked husband its true but in real life most of the time ,its the girl who is always treated unfair.that's many shows, we're talking about THIS show.
ππHehe I have gone too far but its just my pov and its reality too.And what Rudra did was wrong I do not disagree to that but in normal life its not a big issue.
ππActually it is a VERY big issue and for you to say it is not really is not a good sign. Perhaps to you it is not important but if you've ever study the field of domestic violence then you'll know that it is. Sorry but it sounds to me that you have a lot of learning to do and such blanket statements are really naive. And along with your emoticons of laughter, that's deeply disturbing.
can u give me a REAL life eg., when a wife slapped her husband, esp in our India, Pakistan society..π

who cares if its already happened once or twice it shouldnt . i dont know bat it kyph maybe not sure but wasnt tht wen kripa didnt love him :Sand main actor doesnt usually slap his wife if he LOVES her
OK here is a guy slapping a gal so we have this topic, how about when the leading actress goes on a slapping spree and slaps the actor, is that any different????
i neevr said it wasnt wrong in both casesOriginally posted by: shopaholic83
lets change our thinking here, every show is different, the situations are different.
why is it ok if the main actress slaps the main guy but not vice versa?
π
sorry dont agreeOriginally posted by: shopaholic83
according to me,a slap is no big a deal, sometimes parents slap their kids,bros/sis fiight and hit each other, couples do... i think its ok as long as one is not turning deaf or bleedin to death. It also depends on how grave the situation is,what if one of the spouse has done somethin terribly wrong and doesnt even regret it,wouldnt it anger one???
