Iqbal Khan has been balancing his time well between his vocation and avocation. The TV actor makes a comeback with his new show Sanjog Se Bani Sangini launching today on Zee TV.
Post his two-year-long hiatus, Iqbal signed up for this romantic saga only because of the strong and influential character. "The role is nowhere close to all the characters I've played so far. I simply fell in love with the character when I heard the script and I hope the audiences will love him just as much," explains Iqbal.
Iqbal loves travelling and in the last two years, while he was away from the small screen, he actually travelled to several places.
Apart from that, Iqbal had also made some short films — produced, directed and has evenwritten them himself. "I just wanted a break from television shoots to devote my time to things that I actually enjoy doing. I am reticent by nature and I need time to be myself and do things to pamper myself," he asserts.
The female lead who happens to be Iqbal's love interest onscreen is played by Binny Sharma — a newbie in the industry who shot to fame as one of the four finalists of Dance India Dance, Season 2.
"Despite being a newcomer, she has done a commendable job," he comments on his co-star Binny.
Actors Aruna Irani, Sudha Chandran and Aditi Gupta are the other stars in this daily.
