I agree with your thoughts..!! It's so painful to see Ishani like this, without self-respect; hopefully she'll get over with it soon.. However, being a strong independent woman does not mean one has to live alone and only work.. Every person, including a strong one, needs a family/home/relationship/friend that they can count and depend on.. and at this point the only possible addition in Ishani's life is a good friend or support that will give her a security, a comfort or support that she needs to collect herself. Well Dr. Neel and Rahil are there, but they are more colleagues than friends to her..
I really wished Dr. Shashank to step in and help her with his comforting words.. She would have got a sense way early then.. I am pretty disappointed in that too, if she considers Shashank as her uncle and fatherly figure, how can he be so aloof at her misery?
Absolutely, couldn't agree more , no person is an island, I am referring to the dynamics between the three- Sid,Ishani, Asha and the treatment meted out to Ishani, post Sid Asha marriage & thereafter ( till yesterday's episode, haven't watched today's), the indifferent humiliating relinquish rejection, the cold darts of silence or spoken are continuously & visibly attacking her when she already looks mentally and emotionally pulled apart limb from limb & yet her want to probe further for answers ( IMO) is crippling her earlier well written complex character.
Unfortunately, writing is the biggest recent let down, the crevasse of cliches the story has opted for (Sid, obviously & predictably ๐is standing in to prevent the unborn child facing the stigma around legitimacy that he has gone through) . The present characters (by & large) have been categorised into brackets of hierarchy for deeper interactions- Shashank, Anjali Juhi & Vardhan and their dynamics to younger lot & their equation, certain important introspections are omitted which were needed to understand the mental innards , with little or no interplay amongst each group to add on to, the convincing convoluted layering their character could reflect with responses as when & how they touch upon the other's life adding shades to their own character & story.
A particular tone is set by filling in the flow with fluidity of narrative or else random reactions stall the arc necessary to character, making them look one dimensional, especially with an amazingly talented bunch of actors, the distribution of screen space is also rough & irregular. It's obvious that shuffling of actors was done to accommodate present treatment of show (Asha's's character is almost unrecognisable from her earlier avataar)
