Guys I am a very silent reader therefore don't know much of anyone here. But regardless can we please stop with the aggressiveness towards each other. This was meant to be a discussion about the "subject" not overpowering each others view points. I am certain we all have our favorite jodis/ characters/actors on this show, but that doesn't mean someone else's choice can't be different than ours. Let's please respect each other and most importantly at least "agree to disagree"

If I were to focus on the current situation I know there is probably at least a 15 year age gap between Juhi and Shashank however I think they are both getting to the point in life where it's not about flirting it's not about the physical relationships, it's not about the puppy love or infatuation. Instead I think the need for a companion, the need for a mature bonding, a need for a coffee partner, a need for someone discuss current events is what Juhi and Shashank both seem to long for and seeing them almost reminds me of "Kuch to log kahenge" but with more maturity . If I were to put this season aside from continuation of previous season(s), I seriously am dying to see more of Juhi and Shashank.

I agree with you that Shashank and Juhi both seem lonely and are perhaps seeking that companionship from each other. But I don’t know why, I just can’t seem to really see them as a couple. I never watched Sanjivani 1 or DMG, so I have no preconceived notions of these characters. All I know of them is what I’ve seen in this version of the show.

When the show started, we saw Juhi consider Shashank her Guru. We saw a more paternal Shashank towards Anjali, Sid, and Ishani. When it was revealed that Shashank fired Juhi from Sanjivani, it seemed to be only because Rahul requested it. Now we see this shift in Shashank’s character to someone who is expressing his love to Juhi, flirting with her, just feels odd. Not to mention that he hasn’t once considered Anjali’s feelings, even though he knows how she feels about him and Juhi. Like Sid and Ishani’s relationship, this feels rushed to me. At least Sid and Ishani had some build up in this season of the show. For a new viewer like me, Shashank and Juhi had no romantic buildup before getting to this point. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is what i thought too.. I also see the point that there's no need for a progressive buildup in the case of Shashank. The only point of serious realisation of "love" came for him was when Juhi returned at his request without any grudge against him. That she was accepting of him despite the history of firing her probably became a catalyst in this.

I think the Shashank-Juhi relationship can be viewed through a new lens beyond the mentor-mentee dynamic. Why not since they have both evolved? Now that they have not had a gradual progression and just done a jump shift would mean that they need to show us a self-realisation by Shashank to validate both his own feelings towards Juhi and the prospective relationship.

Just my opinion.

According to sister Philo today, the reason why he fired Juhi from Sanjivani is not because he loved her. Then what is it🤓. Now some more Sanjivani 1 connection. And another question is wheather he loves her or not.

Back to square 1🥱

But yeah it does give the feel of Kuch Toh Log Kahenge.. Although I didn't watch that show.. but it also had a similar premise of Two Doctors I guess having quite an age gap falling for each other..

And moreover, Dr, Juhi is only a few years elder to Dr. Anjali. In season 1 Dr. Shashank & Dr. Smriti had accepted her as their daughter & stood by her after she saved Dr. Rahul from the murder case. They stood for her after she lost her mother. Rahul had married her in the temple despite marrying Dr. Simran earlier.
