I didn't watch the first season but reading the replies here, it's going to be so awkward if they decide to show them as a couple. But going by episodes, I feel they are planning something like that. ITV afterall

That's a question I have been asking myself for about a decade!

Jokes apart, it might have been because DMG was trying to create some sort of connection to Sanjivani through keeping Shashank and Anjali and Omi's son...and maybe Iravati was too busy with other projects, she most likely didn't want to return to the TV scene when the industry started changing after Sanjivani went off-air. So, since Smriti wasn't coming back, the creatives decided to show Shashank as a widower, still a single parent years after Smriti's death, whenever the hell that was in the DMG-verse. Padma was a DMG character created to establish a reason behind Riddhima's existence - if Riddhima Bansal was created to be the protagonist of DMG instead of Anjali Gupta, then she needed a mother, so Padma was her mother and conveniently also a nurse. The creatives tried to link Padma's character history to Smriti's, basically saying that Smriti and Padma were friends at Sanjivani or something along those lines. So in the DMG-verse, Shashank and Smriti were married until she somehow died, Shashank remained unmarried for years because he just didn't want to remarry...and then randomly he was shown to be attracted to Padma, thanks to the interns' matchmaking tactics involving a sari. So he married her. Long story short, it was a pretty superficial, contrived way to just match up "Riddhima's adoptive father" with "Riddhima's real mother" in the end to give her a happy family with two parents. As an aside, Shilpa Tulaskar is a talented actress who deserved a lot, lot more interesting stuff to do in DMG than standing around on the sidelines. Apparently she was part of the Sanjivani pilot episode...it would have been neat if she had actually been a part of THAT show as a doctor, Iravati and Shilpa would have been interesting to watch, in terms of acting style dynamics, and female friendships are always a good thing. Oh well, lots of wasted opportunities there.

Mohnish has been paired with two good actress namely Iravati H and Shilpa T.

P.S. After Shilpa T quit DMG, CVs got Monish’s real wife Ekta to play the role of Padma his wife..

Hope, CVs bring back either Iravati for FB scenes OR Iravati / Shilpa / Ekta as a new character opp Mohnish in this season 😊

I don’t mind Dr Shashank getting married for the 3rd time ( opp a very good actress having caliber of Iravati H or Shilpa T or Poorva Gokhale, etc ) in this season πŸ‘πŸ‘

Basically dmg is light hearted romantic show in the backdrop of hospital . They show romance of mostly all the main characters and even patients of the show are driving force of love story they use shashank and anjali to cash the sanjivani popularity I think as saas bahu saga are ruling the trp chart those days . In this season I didnot want romantic angle between shashank and juhi even if we consider it as separate show because anjali and juhi looks like sister rather than mother daughter atleast in dmg padma is like a mother figure to anjali. In coming episodes also they show the conflict between juhi and anjali so I didnot want any romantic pairing between them .

Yes it will very disgraceful if CVS show Dr shashank and Dr juhi as romantic love pair to whom CVS shown both like brother and sister until now. And conservation between Dr juhi and Dr shashank is normal. I don't find anything romantic

Both were just discussing about terrorists child both were just discussing in what way surgery of that child can be done . Discussing about terrorists child surgery by both Dr juhi and Dr shashank. What is romantic in this discussion

Dr shashank and Dr shashank what ever name given to their relationship like brother sister or teacher student but both are not romantic love pair as Dr juhi always treat Dr shashank as her brother or teacher what ever u can say but never look him as lover and same thing apply to Dr shashank for juhi

Please CVS don't insult Dr juhi and Dr shashank spiritual bonding by showing romantic track in between both

The disgusting Idea of wanting an already twice married man to hook up with his protege just for sake of bursting your ovaries is plain pathetic. O don't care if this comes off as uncivil because lot of vile things have already been said by TM & her little miny army.

For god sake Shashank was the same who did Juhi's kanyadaan, do you guys understand what that means or is there no moral compass with regards to relationships be if real or fictional that you want a woman to end up with someone whom she considers her father figure/idol/mentor, the thought itself disguists me.

I really don't know what one gets from this or in every other post dissing sid-ishani & verbally attacking SC /her fans, the TM & gang seems more like a fake accounts by few so obsessed with SC (given gang knows so much about her & her FD) who now wants to spread absolute bullshit about her, I would say the gang better come up with something more creative.

P.s. the forums needs a mod asap before these vile peeps keep stopping further low in their hatered for characters & actors
