So resident doctors and interns aren't same thing. Thanks for the confirmation.

Lol... If the Creatives learn evry aspect of medical field then they'll definitely get a better script to show the audience than doctors wid grown up nails polished, wearing shoes, rings into OT wid open hair .... Too much of flaws killing the show and the actor's talent 😕

Ishani was in the theatre for two cases, case one with dr sid, and it was shown that she performed the surgery and dr sid was supervising, but whether it was a minor surgery or major they didn’t mention.

Case two, the way she said prepare the OT for surgery, she should’ve also said inform Dr Rishab because it was his pt and he’s the senior ( although later on we see him in the OT) so that surgery too she assisted dr Rishab. But she was told off because she took the pt for surgery without proper investigation and confirmation of diagnosis and not for doing surgery alone.

Other two cases she handled, one she treated a patient who’s condition worsens while in the hospital, an emergency ,which i presume a first year is supposed to know how to do handle such things. Second one she assisted dr sid, maximum she did was giving intravenous fluids, taking blood for investigation, asked the nurse to connect the monitor and clean up a wound? I guess these r basic procedures any mbbs doctors do?

Internship is grduation level training. It inclued traininh in all fields-medicine, surgery,Gynae and also in special branching subjects.

Residency is Post graduation level training. Many countries inclufes three years training where othets include 4 years trainin.

Sid is an experienced 3rd year resident.. Almpst done with his PG as in India its 3 yeas training.. Highly capable and confident.. So yeah, he can perform surgeries without any supervision he knows the surgery by heart. 1st years chould be guided but minor surgery can be done unguraded as well. I mean some people in internii are more expert than the pro.. :p

Its all about how trained you are. dr Ishani is very good with surgeries from her mbbs ays as she have mentioned dead bodied were her friends. :p

There's some rules n regulations of course but some juniors are more experts than seniors.

But yeah, you dont do all the surgeries just because you are leads. ;) ;)

Abd it would be great if they show appropriate OT procedures and environment. Putting on gloves before gown!!! Really!

Dr ishani did not do any surgery independely .. First time she assist surgery with senior residentDr sid and second time there was senior resident rishabh with Dr ishani during surgery

Dr ishani only stabilize patient condition independently

Yes Dr ishani called nurse compounder to take that that lady in operation theatre to do surgery but Dr ishani did not do that surgery alone. In that operation theatre Dr rishabh also did surgery along with Dr ishani as we can Dr we can c Dr rishabh too wearing operation uniform like caps gloves and gown and then washing hands

I am watching the show only for Dr Shashank n Dr Juhi but the shirtless flirt Sid and ott ishani are spoiling it for me...they could have been casted for a rom com not for a medical drama.

As far as I remember the case with Dr rishabh can be of perforation because there was gas in the abdomen and that has to be performed along with a senior. Dr Rishabh toois a resident here a third year so basically there has to be senior doctor present there along with the two residents.

Yes one can't do any surgery until they complete their resident course and achieve specializion in surgery in any field but yes resident to observe condition of patient and note down condition of patient with in interval and give daily report of daily condition of patient to specialist

Specialist take round of patient may one or two times a day and resident give report about patient condition to specialist and then specialist do treat ment according to report given by resident

Resident are available in off duty hrs too and available for patient 24* 7 hrs

I have stay in hospital few days I have seen one resident doctor always there during night time near ward and another resident is during morning time. Yes specialist come if condition of patient become very serious but specialist cannot be always with patient so resident doctor is there to always with patient like noting down their fever and they give report to specialist

I am not saying patient should be leave on resident only . I want to say as it is very difficult for specialist remain in ward for 24*7 hrs so resident is given duty in ward to look after patient and when group of specialist visit to see patient. Resident give progress report about patient to specialist

At Least in government hospital I have seen this procedure
