Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk n challenges....

Though it isn't Teachers day yet but I m sure u will all agree that tonights episode stands out for it's simple take on a teacher-student relationship. So let's a have a look at where the other characters stand on this scale tonight!

Vardhan seems to be hell bent to teach Dr.Sid to come out of his nefarious ways while treating patients that come from a poor background. But Dr.Sid holds his ground by making the payment for that child in his own way. However, Vardhan swear to get him out of the hospital the day he comes to know as to where this kala dhan is coming from.

While, Dr.Sid leads the way for Dr.Ishani to perform the surgery single handedly praising her later for her impeccable knowledge on muscle memory. However she is still stuck at complaining about her boss for breaking the rules of the hospital in the line of duty.

Believing that Dr.Anjali is the senior most, she complains to her who in return shuts her up while taking the side of her student,"Dr.Sid is the best we have!" Further guiding her that she is under good hands provided she concentrates on things that she is here for. I m quite happy for that, the character has begun to really annoy me now.😔

With Dr.Shashank surgery no more a secret now, everybody comes to meet him and give him their best wishes. Dr.Shashank indirectly guides Dr.Sid to help the poor the way he is doing now. Sid shares his concerns w.r.t Vardhan's ways but like a good teacher Dr.Shashank guides him to respect his point of view too.

While Dr.Ishani shares some beautiful moments with him too being emotional and at the same time believing that he will soon be alright. Making Dr.Sid raise his eyebrows as to how does she know Dr.Shashank?

P.S.I m a bit confused with the writers here do they want Ishani's lineage to be a secret or not. Coz everybody seems to be knowing who she is....

Anyways, Vardhan's seems to find this as a good chance to bif farewell to Dr.Shashank in his own Way. Thus, he goes with a bouquet of flowers, rubbing more salt on his wounds and letting him know that after him he will be running the hospital his way! With that the dark clouds seems to hover on Sanjivani.

But they say, it's the darkest before the dawn & thus comes the dawn, I mean our very own Sunshine, Dr. Juhi swaying the light into the otherwise dark room! Loved how they used the flashbacks to accentuate the importance of a mentor, a Guru in her lives. The reason she is back when her mentor needs her the most!

To give that light back that decorates her medical world with laurals today. She is after all the youngest and best neurosurgeon of the country and he has a key role to play in that badge of honour!

She looks concerned while she checks his report of the 'big bang'( the name of the tumour as given by Dr.Shashank) but he yet again guides her, asking her for a Gurudakshina "It's time to illuminate the light I once guided your path with, I otherwise will you too just stand there n let me die?"

After all the light at the end of the tunnel is not an illusion. The tunnel is....😳

Beautifully put, hun! The latter part of the episode sure did focus on the mentor- disciple relationship that you pointed out. And that is just how doctors remember the first senior that showed trust in them to handle sutures, perform deliveries, insert catheters and guides them from those first steps to becoming a full-fledged sub-specialist. Along the way, they find a lot of mentors but one among them all, stands out. And when this person asks for something, you put everything on the line for them. The flashbacks and Shashank-Juhi’s interactions definitely got us emotional. Their acting being on point!

Shashank has lightened up a little since he’s letting go of his duties as the Chief and his camaraderie with both Sid and Ishani struck a bond with us too. Today, he’s not the stern disciplinarian who’s accessible but distant at the same time. He wants to share some moments with the people around him and has no regrets about the life he has lived as Dr. Shashank! His personal life, although, might be a little tumultuous, something that you can gauze through “Anjali’s Bitterness- Act II, Part I”.

Vardhan is such a sleazy fellow, full of venom. But you know Rohit’s doing something just right if we have begun to dislike his character already, haha.😆

Ishani’s childlike demeanor and letting go of all her inhibitions in Shashank’s presence was a welcome surprise. I liked her much better today than in her usual fight or flight mode.

It was surprising to see Shashank was impressed with the idea of bending rules in the form of Sid’s tactics to aid the needy. I mean he’d be all for serving the economically challenged masses but bending rules was a strict no-no for him previously. Anyway, I’m glad to know Sid has him on his side.

Lastly, you’re right! I have been wondering too if Ishani wants to conceal her true identity, what’s with her last name being tossed around thrice per episode and people seeing her interactions with Shashank and all. Like writers, please make up your mind!

Like you said, the light at the end of the tunnel will turn things around now. Let’s wait for that to happen. I really liked your review of today’s episode. Hoping to see many more 😊😊

Well written. Yes liked the mentor mentee relation shown today. Liked Dr. Juhi and her interaction with Dr. Shashank. Didn't know the back story. But it was nice. I don't get why they want to show Dr.Sid shirtless in every episode? And can't make out what they want to show Dr.Ishani as. Her interaction with her seniors I liked but with Dr.Sid and in the operation theater was way too over. And as you said she kept on saying she doesn't want anyone to know about her surname but everyone seems to know it. Her character is the most loosely written I felt. Hope its get cleared soon.

Interesting comparison with Teacher's Day ⭐️

I felt yesterday's episode, was more of Dr Shashank's dynamics with everyone around - more like the scintillating Sun & the ones orbiting around reflecting & growing from his warmth of experience 😃

Where Vardhaan is cool calculated- mind & money, with intent to win,(he looked anything but Sorry) to Shashank as someone who was calm and composed- soul & serenity , even through climacteric.

The corridor scene when both, SiShani came to know about Dr Shashank's condition & their individual interactions had a beautiful filial feel, the unspoken added to the atmosphere in the room, which thickened with suppressed emotions and silence took a quality 👏

From Sid POV the equation is more formal professional with reverence for an idol whereas with Ishani their is an informal personal but with Dr Juhi, right from her entry to drawing out the darkness by pulling blinds ,it was like entering a time warp, falling down a tunnel and coming out the other end, relics leapt down the tunnel of years from memories, bringing light back, literally basking Dr Shashank, her mentor 👍🏼👏

Dr Shashank & Juhi's interactions revealed an emotional fragility around them which was beyond beautiful ⭐️
