Manya hugged her mother a last good bye. Her mother waved to her as she raced out of the house and to Om. Om smiled at her warmly. Om: Chalein? Train choot jaye gi! Manya smiled excitedly. She was beginning her journey as a lawyer, going into law school. They walked to the train station, where Om waited with Manya until the train left. Manya smiled at Om. M: Thanks so much, Om. Patha nain main yeh sab akele kaise ker paathi! Om laughed and playfully hit her forehead. Om: Manya thanks kahe, aur woh bhi mujhe? Manya laughed back. M: Om, mera wahan dil lage ga na? Om: Of course lage ga. You're the best out there, Manya! He stared at Manya, fighting back the urge to tell her his true feelings. But the conductor rang the horn, signaling the departure of the train. Manya waved to Om. M: Bye, Om! Om: HEY! Bhoolo gi tho nahin na? Manya rolled her eyes. M: Tum mujhe London mein na bhool jaana, bas! Om laughed and waved to her as her train rode away. He sighed and walked away.
Rehan stopped the car abruptly, looking over at Akash. Akash sighed in frustration. A: Tumse koi kaam teek se hota hai, Rehan? R: Meri ghalti nain ai, yaar! Agay beedh dekh na! Akash groaned. A: Rehan, get out of the car. MAIN GAARI CHALAOON GA! They quickly changed seats, Akash murmuring angry curses at the crowd on the street. The moment he sat down in the car, he blew his horn loudly. The crowd looked at him but ignored him. A: Fine, then! Hitting the horn fully, he pressed his foot on the race pedal. People screamed but jumped out of the way. As Rehan panicked, Akash laughed. A: And that's how you do it, my friend! R: Akash, pagal ho tum! Just mad! Everyone dispersed from Akash's way. He ignored the lights and drove, turning up the music loud. A huge crowd was on the intersection ahead. Rehan looked at him. R: Akash, gaari rauk. A: Shut up! Khud hi hut jayein ge saare... Most of the people moved from the car, cursing at him. Except one girl. She kept her ground and continued walking, wheeling her suitcase behind her. She was wearing a pink churidaar dress, her hair open. Akash stepped foot on the brake abruptly, bringing the car to a heavy halt. Akash stepped out of the car, furious. He went upto the girl and glared at her. A: ANDHI HO? STUPID MIDDLE CLASS PEOLPE! Aise chalte hain jaise ki-- The girl turned at him, revealing her face. It was Manya! She stared at him angrily. She raised her finger at his face. M: Watch it, mister! Walk sign tha, aur chalne ka right MERA tha! Agar in sunglasses ke peeche se dekh nahin sakte, tho I suggest you take them off! Akash stopped talking and stared at her. He looked at her face, which was full of anger. The music of "Tum Kya Jano" played as opened his mouth to speak. M: Aise aankhein paar paar ker kya dekh rahe ho? Akash snapped out of his stanz. A: Aye, you, who do you think you are? M: A pedestrian walking on this street! Main tumhe police ko report ker sakti hoon because mister, you were at fault here! Akash raised his eyebrows. From behind them, cars began to honk. Manya flipped her hair, grabbed her bag, and continued walking. Akash smirked. A: Freak! Manya kept walking, but turned to look at him. M: Jerk! They both shook their heads, walking off in different directions. The music of "Ladki Kyun" from "Hum Tum" played as they dispersed.
Manya entered the office of the law school, licking her lips eagerly. She walked to the receptionist, her heel clicking on the ground. M: Hi, ma'am. Manya Sharma? The woman entered her name in a computer and smiled. R: Yes. Room number 202. Manya took the key from her and continued upstairs. Just as she left, Akash entered the office with Rehan, grinning. A: Hey, beautiful! The receptionist smiled. R: Hi. How may I help you? Akash leaned over the table. A: There are so many ways, but, as of right now, room number please. R: Name? A: Akash Rathod. As the receptionist typed his name, Akash looked around the place. Not bad. The lobby was fully furnished with a couch, chairs and magazines. He began to hum. R: Room number 203, sir. Without really listening to it, he grabbed the key. A: And hey, could you please look up the room for Rehan over here? He placed his arm over Rehan's shoulders. R: Yes, sir. It's uh...room number...310. Akash leaned over. A: Switch his room with me, please? R: Sir, we can't do that yet- Akash stood up angrily. A: My father's name is Rajeev Rathod! He could close this place up as it is! Rehan chuckled, knowing of the fact that even though Akash's words were true, Mr. Rathod would never do that. He wanted his son to learn the true principles of life and stop living on his name. Unfortuantely, the poor receptionist didn't know this. R: Err..yes, sir, we'll look upon it.. Akash nodded and followed Rehan to the elevator. On the second floor, Akash stepped out, waving to Rehan. Akash stopped before continuing. A: Kaun sa room number tha-- He looked down at the key. He became puzzled. It read MASTER KEY on it. Wasn't that for...the school? A: Room 202! He flipped the key in the keyhole. It turned easily, and he burst open the door. Akash looked around the room. There were two single beds, one with a bag on it. A: Roommate a chuka hai. Hai kidhar, who cares...bechara vaise bhi jaane vaala hai once Rehan comes in... Akash flopped down on the empty bed, looking up at the ceiling. He looked at the bag on the other bed. He heard the shower in the bathroom. He stood up and walked to the bag. He threw it open, looking at the contents inside. He stared at them, surprised. He picked up a lipstick and admired it. A: Gay. Got it... The bathroom doorknob turned. He quickly dropped the lipstick and looked up, expecting a gay guy to walk out. Instead walked out the girl he had seen before, Manya, in a towel...her hair was wet, and she was humming. A smile was on her face as she flipped her hair up, looking up. The moment she saw Akash standing there, her eyes opened wide. As Akash stared, stunned and shocked, the whole room was filled with a high-pitched, ear filling scream, escaping Manya's throat.
