ARTICLE MAY BE A LITTLE OLD Apara Mehta takes a break from 'Saat Phere' |
Apara Mehta who plays Kakisa in 'Saat Phere' will be out of the show soon. This is the second time that she is making an exit. The last time was around one and a half years ago for a few months after which she made a re-entry. Says Apara,"I am not exactly quitting the show as such. Actually I am going to the US for some shows that I am doing. I will be gone for four weeks. I had a chat with the production house and asked them to either end my track or to keep it open, so that my return is facilitated later. They opted for the second option.' Sources however have an altogether different version. The buzz is that Apara was not too happy with her track in the show. Says a production insider on the condition of anonymity, "It seems Apara ji was not all that happy with the way her role was shaping up. She felt her character was not getting as much importance as was required." However Apara chooses to refute this. "Whoever told you this? There is nothing as such. I am extremely happy with my role in 'Saat Phere'. It's a very good team. Last time too, I had made a comeback because of this," she clarifies. So is her exit going to be a grand one? Says Apara, "Nothing has been decided as yet. I will find that out soon. I think they can plan something really good to mark my exit." The writing team of 'Saat Phere' elaborates, "We can't say reveal anything exact. But we can tell you that it's going to be really dramatic. The last time when Aditi Pratap was making an exit owing to her upcoming wedding, a very dramatic death scene was picturised. The 'Saat Phere' team always adds spice to the proceedings." As for Apara, she says her plate is full. "Last time I had gone to the US for shows in 2003 during 'Kyunki saas……..' This time I am traveling with my daughter. So it's going to work along with the vacationing. I would love to do movies too but then it has to be something substantial (the kind of roles that her husband Darshan Zariwala is famous for). Otherwise I am happy with TV which has strong roles for women." |
