Nevidita Bhattacharya known as Jiji of Saat Phere will be back in the show soon. After killing two leads of the show, Nevidita will be making a re-entry on the show.

Saat Phere gets a new Saloni

Initially news suggested that following Rajshri Thakur's exit, Saat Phere would take a leap. But now we hear that production house simply plans to replace Rajshri with a new actress who will be introduced next month.
"We have finallised a new girl as Saloni. We are looking to take a leap so that we can introduce a new Saloni after the leap. The girl will be making her debut via our show. We haven't unveiled her yet as she hasn't been able to sign the contract yet due to he television strike. In fact we could not shoot Nahar's death scene also because of this," reveals a source.
"We are not allowed to reveal name and details about the girl but we are planning to introduce her next month as it will take some time for us to show the exit of the two main characters - Saloni and Nahar."

"However if the strike will continue some more then we will have to push forward the new girl's entry. Her name and everything has purposely been kept under wraps as she has been instructed not to reveal anything. In fact her most productions members don't know her either," adds the source.

Before the television strike, audiences saw the re-entry of Jijisa (Nivedita Bhattacharya) who plans to exact revenge from Nahar and Saloni.

Sharad almost done with Saat Phere

Sharad Kelkar is busy shooting in Wai for his last few scenes in Saat Phere. It was rumoured that the actor asked to be killed on the show as he did not want to play the role of an elder Nahar.

"It was the demand of the script that is why Nahar is dying the show! These rumours are false that I was not ready to play elder character. As an actor I should be open to any kind of role. If Anupam Kher can play 60 year old, when he was half of that age, then why not me," says Sharad, "We were shooting some under water scenes in Wai. I think within a week I will wrap up my shoot."
"Moreover I do not think so show is taking a leap so soon so there was no question that I would have play a father's or an older character in the show. We have not changed any script and my death in the show was already there in the script," he adds.

So what is next for him?

"I have not signed anything so far but I am open to reality shows and hosting offers too. I will prefer hosting," he says.

The actor says once he is done with the soap he will spend New Year eve with his wife and friends in Goa. "Whenever we used to for holidays on third day I used to feel that I should go back to my sets. This time I will not go back on my sets, when I will finish the shoot for last day. I will miss everyone and everything, but I do not want to think about that now."

On the day when terrorist attacks took place Sharad was out of Mumbai but he says that only added to his concern.

"I left for Wai on the same day. I got the news when I reached in the hotel. I called up my family and friends immediately and was watching the news till 4 am! I have just retuned and thankfully everything is fine now. But hotels have all lean and thin security guards and the government should have been prepared for such attacks. However I think we should also be more alert now," he says.

Recovered from cancer Sujata Kumar is back on TV

Sujata Kumar will soon be seen in a cameo in Saat Phere as gurumaa. Having recently recovered from cancer, the actress is looking forward to her return on the small screen.

"I am playing Nahar's gurumaa in the show. Nahar has become swami in the show and I will be playing his foster mother. It is a cameo and will get over soon. It is very lovely to work with these people. I am quite fine with only doing cameos, because I cannot spend 25 days a month and 14 hours everyday on any daily show due to my health," says Sujata.
"I have been offered roles for daily which were full fledged roles but I could not take it up. I am also fine in taking episodic appearances like I will be doing one of episode for Koi Hai," adds the actress.

Sujata believes that working in films is much better than doing fserials at this point for her.

"I have just finished one film called Dia starring new actors Pawan and Sheetal which will be releasing in February. I have also finished a Shivam Nair's movie called Exchange Offer with Rahul Bose and Esha Deol. I am playing Om Puri's wife in the film and it was really pleasure working with them."


Sujata will also be a part of Delhi Belly. She will begin filming for that on December 21.

"I am playing a magazine editor in this movie. It is not a great role as such but I have worked with the director (Abhinay Deo) before this. He directed commercials in which I had worked. And how could I have left an offer to work under Aamir Khan's banner?" she says.

Talking about her health Sujata says that things seem to be back on track for her.

"Touch wood I am doing well health wise. I will go for my annual check up next month and hopefully will get an all clear in all my tests," says the actress.

Sharad Kelkar stalls filming for Tandoori Chicken

Sharad Kelkar who played Nahar in Saat Phere is believed to have stalled the filming for his serial Saat Phere recently – all because he did not get Tandoori Chicken. The actor wanted to have chicken to look fit in one of the sequence where he was shown bare but a source from the production house says that when the staff couldn't give him the chicken, he stalled the shooting for four hours.
But Sharad has a different version to give. The actor who was celebrating New Year eve in Goa says, "I have re entered in the show as Mahant - he is a sanyasi and so they were planning new look for me in this show. We went to Wai to shoot this sequence in last month. Wai is quite a famous place. It was my first shot as a Mahant and since I am sanyasi I had to shoot bare bodied."
"I am on diet from many days and I wanted to look fit in that scene so I told my production people that I want to have Tandoori Chicken and shall I ask my driver to get it for me? So they stopped me and told me that they will provide it to me. I waited for two hours but they could not get it for me so I had whatever fruits I carry with me and gave that shot."

"Secondly the shooting was not stopped because of food. Actually what happened is that it was my first day of shoot and they had given me one wig which was of bad quality. They should have realized that if they are shooting outdoor then they should have carried all the stuff - you can confirm this from my make up person also. They provided me with a wig which was originally red colour and they have put black colour over that so it was spoiling my make up. Therefore it took two hours to get ready," he adds.

The actor says he is very upset with this kind of rumour. He feels it reflects badly on him.

"I am a professional actor and work comes first for me rather than food or anything. I am working hard for it. From the past three years I have been hearing all these things and I also know who spreads such rumours. But I have become habitual to it," he says.

• Rajeshree Thakur not leaving Saat Phere After having threatened to leave the popular daily Saat Phere on numerous occasions, Saloni fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as the actress has finally been convinced to stay. The actress had previously admitted to leaving the show but will now only take a break for a few days and will be back on the show after a leap. "Rajeshree was leaving the show but now we have sorted out issues with her and she will come back in the show after taking a break. Saloni will be seen again after a leap with her daughter. However this time they will be seen as very poor and will have struggle for to meet their every day expenses…how they will reach that position that will be a mystery," informs a source from the production house. The source also informs that Nahar (Sharad Malhotra) will not be in the show after the leap. The actor however feigns ignorance about his role coming to an end. "I have made my comeback in the show. Right now my character is known as Mahant swami in the show. My track will be on for at least one more month. I have heard that leap will take place in the show soon but we have not been informed officially about it. I am fine with playing an elder character in the show but things are still under progress so I do not know whether I will be there in the show after the leap." The decision to end Sharad's character has come after the actor threw a tanrum on the sets. It is believed that the production house was not happy with his behaviour when he stalled filming for four hours in Wai when he wasn't served tandoori chicken.
