Despite the eleven-year-leap in Saat Phere, Rajshree Thakur has refused to grey, opting for jhumkas instead

Though the serial, Saat Phere took an 11-year-old leap, the lead actress Rajshree Thakur has not been shown ageing. She still sports black hair in the serial as she has refused to grey her hair.

A source close to the production house said, "Rajshree, who achieved stardom with this serial, was very uncomfortable with the idea of being seen with grey strands. When the production house insisted on it, to depict her new, older look, Rajshree refused to budge. An argument ensued between the two, resulting in Rajshree giving an ultimatum to the production guys that if they wanted her on the show, they would have to consent to her terms. The production house had no option but to bow down to the popular actress's demand. So after the generation leap, the actress now sports traditional jewellery like jhumkas to go with her new look."

Rajshree Thakur denied the news and said, "I have no problem greying. But when I wasn't asked by anybody to do it, why should I?" She then quickly added, "Tell me, who greys their hair these days on television?"

Producer Sanjay Wadhwa maintained a diplomatic stand on the issue and said, "I am not aware if Rajshree had a problem with greying her hair. Maybe she spoke to Zee TV about it."

The Creative Head of Saat Phere, Shikha Vigg, was more forthcoming, "Knowing the cast of Saat Phere by now, I am sure that this episode must have happened."

Buzz is Saat Phere is set to make another leap. It would be interesting to see if Rajshree greys then.

Simple she don't want to grey her hair then replace her. Its a 1.XX trp show its not Chotti Bhau or Betiyann and for Sphere Origion its not Balki Valdu or Jyoti.

Everybody knows this intial leap was to get every-one feeling sorry for the poor Sawri and then to take the magic leap to adult Sawri the new heroine of the show. Rajshree use has only been to maintain the existing viewership and get them interested in Sawri. Big surprise there is going to be another leap.

It has been about five weeks since the show has leap and big, big story Rajshree doesn't want to grey her hair. What a hatchet job as they say. I don't know but I haven't seen Tara has aged or change her way of dressing to signal an 11 leap. Nahar concession to an 11 leap is a scarf, Brijesh is glasses. Kaveri has better jewery and saris. I haven't seen ambika with 1 single grey hair. Samar looks the same but Rajshree has dressed differently and in fact looks different.

The writers has taken an ok show and turn it into a horror story simply to introduce the new Sawri. Sawri for all intents and purpose was a servant child and the family took her in as their own. So, she in reality made out good - a another family may have put her in an orphanage or send her back to her drunken father. By her own action like other sisters is trying to do everything for her selfish sister. What's terrible about that - Who decided to take the blame for Shweta she did. Saloni on the other hand has to suffer for 11 years morning the lost of her daughter. No comparison on suffering. Always wondering if the child is being treated alright, even mothers who gave their child up for adoption gets a look. She doesn't even know what her child looks like.

The whole show previously revolve around the romance of Nahar and Saloni and the most you have to look forward to is what is going on in school and the budding romance of sawri and the gardeners son. They call that creative.....

no need 2 grey her hair if replaced by an another actress the serials will shut door soon.

Saloni was 24 year old when Saat Phere started so she will be like late 30s right . why should she have grey hair.

In real life, even if you have grey hair, haven't they heard of Mehndi, hair colors. so why would they show someone with grey hair after 11 year leap. after 11 years of my marriage, I have grey hair, but I do not display them, i hide them by Mehndi and I might be doing it after 25 years of my marriage,( if God permits me to live that long). So what is so wrong if Saloni does not want grey hair. Did Manno bhabhi had grey hair, What About ambika?

I agree. Forget about other show when Mannobhabhi or Ambika have shown with no grey then why Saloni have to N also Tara who is older n can were fancy(open back} blouses N have shorter hair then Saloni shouldn't be criticize for not wanting grey also i feel they should allow Saloni to wear low neck blouses which suites her more.

grey hair ko maro goli. filhaal to mujhe yeh samaj nahi aata, ke pati mar gaaya aur yahaan unki pyaari saloni jhumke pehen kar ghoom rahi hai.....it's disgusting what the show has been reduced to, really!

vaise saach mein, kya life hai saloni ki bhi - na pati paas hai aur uper se jiske umeed par jee rahi hai - uski aur nahar ki beeti - wohi ab tak nahi milli. such a lonely life. T-T
