Or actually like how it is with all characters, everyone is individually investigating in their own way to figure out the truth .. and they all finally stumble upon it and Toasty in the end can't bear anyone else being with Tej comes back running into his arms and her reports are indeed mixed or wrong and all she needs is ample rest and recovery!

This actually makes more sense :)

And yeah, Smiley wouldn't need to face any disappointment then :D
