Aishwarya Sakhuja
Aishwarya Sakhuja aka Toasty from Sony Entertainment Television's Saas Bina Sasuraal has been quite unwell for some time now. She has been battling with problems in her lymph nodes, which has resulted in the growth of lumps in her neck.
"I had a lump growing on my collar bone that I got removed. Luckily, it is not malignant. But I have still not recovered completely and need to go for another surgery. I have been asked to take a lot of rest. It was definitely a wake up call for me," she says. Aishwarya stopped shooting about two to three weeks back completely and packed off to her hometown Delhi.
Aishwarya attributes her illness to stress and poor eating habits. "I was always into non-fiction but with this fiction show, I started working for 12 to 15 hours and had no life beyond work. But the fact is I love my work and I'm waiting to get back," she says.
Incidentally on her show too, her character had been shown suffering from brain tumour and that sparked off some rumours in real life. "Some people thought I had brain tumour in real life! These rumours were quite unnerving," she says.
The show is set to wrap up next month and Aishwarya is going to miss it. "People really loved my character Toasty. This has been a wonderful journey," she signs off.
