A sit Modi's Saarthi, the afternoon soap based on the Mahabharata, is going off Star Plus . Though Modi feels the serial came to an end prematurely, he is happy that it ruled for three years. "Most of the serials that started in 2004 like Kesar and Dekho Magar Pyaar Se didn't last as long," he reasons. Putting Saarthi behind him, Modi's now busy with prime time soap for Sony, the channel that gave him his first break. "It will be a homecoming of sorts. Some of my popular shows, Hum Sab Ek Hai and Meri Biwi Wonderful, both comedies, were aired on this channel," he beams. This time he is not making a comedy revolving around a simple girl. "Like my earlier soaps, the USP of this one is its unique storyline," he informs. Currently, he is on the look out for a new girl for the lead role.
