Rajiv Paul (Satpal) makes his entry in the episodic Raat Hone Ko Hai (SaharaOne), and will play Himanshu, a man who lives in an urban apartment with his wife and faces the wrath of an unhappy soul.
B P Singh's Raat Hone Ko Hai is a horror show with a different story each week. Paul compares tonight's episode to Urmila Matondkar's film Bhoot. "The setting is exactly like Bhoot's, with a suburban apartment and a spirit harassing this couple," he says.
Doesn't want to get typecast
Shooting for the show was as scary as the stuff being shown on screen, says Paul. "We shot for hours in the rain in Manori and Madh.
We needed to incorporate rain in the story but never imagined we would have to get wet all the time. In fact, a lot of guys on the unit suffered from colds but the efforts paid off since the episode has turned out fabulous," he says.
On the Saarrthi front, there's lot of action happening for him. From the time he entered the show as Satpal Chaudhary, he has created tensions in Arjun's (Karan Grover) life. Satpal has already made his way into Arjun's factory and is making plans to bomb the place.
In spite of having a good time on the show, Paul hopes he doesn't stick doing negative roles forever. "I would love to do positive roles too, but since my character on Saarrthi is doing well everyone wants me to do more evil roles," he says.
Paul previously played Deven in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (Star Plus).
