Character sketch of Devji Goenka

Devjidada aged 75 is the Bhisma of Mahabharata.In Saarrthi he is the elder son of Shantilal and Ambika Goenka.Ambika died when Dev was 10 years old.Shantilal then married Savitri.Savitri gave birth to Hemraj.On the deathbed Shantilal took promise from Devji to look after Hemraj and thus Devji never married and gave his whole life to Hemraj.He is now the oldest menber of the family looking after the Goenka industries.Very influential and a man of his words,people don't dare to disobey him.
