Vijay's family in danger once again

Isn't it fast becoming a bit repetitive for Vijay's family to be in danger time and again? :-/ I mean it is understandable that they would be the obvious target for Pankaj and Mandira's father knowing how family is Vijay's biggest strength and weakness, but I wish this cycle of Naamdhari family getting into danger stops and something different is shown.

Also I have been meaning to ask that is it so easy to contest elections? Vijay just had to file for elections and he easily became a contender also. It can't be such a cake walk now, right? 😕
