Pankaj Udhas mesmerises Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Despite the downpour on Friday, Pankaj Udhas' concert, organised by the Ford Endeavour for child welfare organisation, Child Relief and You (CRY), was a well-attended one.

The show opened with a music video featuring noted Bollywood singers like Hariharan, Alka Yagnik, Abhijit, Shreya Goshal and Udit Narayan, who espoused child rights. The ghazal king took over shortly after the video clip to a warm applause. The velvet voice that mesmerised music lovers for over two decades was at its best, supported by instrumentalists.

Lending a voice

Pankaj Udhas comes to town
Most Indian children live a life of penury and misery. Deprived of their basic rights to survival, protection, development and participation in their future, they still remain trusting and full of hope. Endeavouring to change the situation and to provide Hyderabadis an avenue to support child rights, CRY (Child Relief and You) in association with Ford Endeavour is organising an evening of music on July 15 at 7.00 p.m. at the Viceroy Hotel and Convention Centre. The show is composed, produced and directed by Pankaj Udhas, ghazal maestro. His golden voice will feature some of his better-known songs from across albums.
