This week on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs, Alka Yagnik was present as the special judge. Alka was one of the judges of the first season and could not stop herself from getting emotional.
Payaol Patel, Creative Head of the show, tells us, "It's been a year since Alka visited the sets so it was like a homecoming for her and she became very nostalgic. While talking on stage, her voice choked for some time. She was impressed with the kids' performances and her mind went back to the earlier season's contestants. She spoke about her favourites from last season. From the current lot, she was most impressed with Vasundhara."
On Alka's interaction with the other judges on the show, Payaol says, "She shares good chemistry with Sonu Niigam and is also very friendly with Sureshji (Wadkar). It was a very nice, positive atmosphere on the sets. If the format requires her to be back I don't think she will say no. This time also when we approached her she was more than happy to come."
Last year singer Abhijeet and Bappi Lahiri were the two judges of L'il Champs along with Alka.
This week, on the Aditya Narayan's request, Sonu is going to sing a song in a female voice at the end of the episode as one of the 8 kids will be eliminated from the show.
