Shaan moves with Gajendra Singh! Rajeev Paul, telly actor and also Delnaaz Paul's husband, has undergone eye surgery a fortnight ago to correct his poor vision. Shaan will be moving along with the producer of Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Gajendra Siingh, to host Star Voice of India-Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa (SVOI) on STAR Plus. Shaan says: "They (Zee TV) were keen to continue with me, but I wanted to be loyal to Gajendra. As he was the one who helped me to get into this profession and position. It was Gajendra who approached me and not the channel. There is nothing like fall out or bad weather between me and Zee. I'm always going to be grateful to Zee for giving me world wide popularity because of this show." Star Voice of India-Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa (SVOI), a musical reality show, is starting next week with its auditions. The first round of auditions will start from Kolkatta on 29 April and after that it will be held in five other cities. The uniqueness of this show is that the elimination of contestants will start from auditions and that will be broadcast for viewers to watch. "All these reality shows provide a platform and recognition for talented people. Hard work is the only thing that can make anyone a good singer and nothing else. They need to prove themselves to be in this music industry. Two to three musical reality shows are happening every year on television, but the music industry can only absorb few of them. At this moment the music industry is ruled by only handful of people. If this programme was there during my days of struggle then it would have only provided me with a platform. It would have provided me that push which I would have required at that time. But for my further progress I would need to work hard to shape my career. I would need to put in true efforts to achieve my goals." Hosting does not come naturally to this singer… "Hosting is surely difficult. You can be natural singer but not a natural host. Singing is natural; it can make you hero out of zero. Hosting is definitely not natural so it is difficult. With hosting you can learn from experience and proper guidance. If four people come together they will have different opinions on the same issues. It is very normal. We are human beings so we tend to have different views. We are not robots who can behave the same with everyone. As far as our show is concerned arguments are generally based on music. Parents of contestants and judges are not actors so we can't give them dialogues. This show is not like Bigg Boss or Big Brother where five actors stay in a same house and read certain lines and behave in certain way to some people. In this type of reality show either you can sing or you cannot sing. You can't trigger it. In our show arguments take place in front of 500 people. So there is no scope for any fakeness." The selection process starts from next week "We will start auditions from next week. I'll be present there during every audition. We'll be conducting auditions in six prime cities. In these cities we'll select 12-15 contestants. Out of which we'll select five from every single city and then final competition will be among 30 contestants. The elimination of contestants will start from audition level where we'll select 15 contestants. This will be the first time that viewer's can watch auditions and from that they will be more involved in the competition. In mid May the actual competition between 30 finalists will start." Alka Yanik, Aadesh Srivastav, Abhijit Bhattacharya and Jatin-Lalit will be judging the contestants. Gajendra Siingh's production house Saibaba Telefilms is producing this show. On the other hand Zee TV is also soon coming up with their musical reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which will be hosted by Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's winner Abhijit Kosambi. Has Zee finalized the host? Just read in some other threads that Aditya Narayan, Udit Narayan's son will be hosting or is approached by Zee to host the show

Accoring to te lastest article in Mumbai Mirror dated 18/4/07, it said that Zee has appraoched Aditya & they are still in talks.
