KKji gave one of the most wonderful songs under Jatin-Lalitji's music in 90s, melody moghuls as they were, I love this song on raag darbari.....baho ke darmayaan, in fact all songs of Khamoshi are superb.
We'll miss you Jatin-Lalit, pls come back....

Some music trivia for those interested:
Dr. L. Subramanian is a great violinist. His brother is none other than the famous Dr. L. Shankar who plays the double violin with Shakti, the fusion group. They are three brothers, Vaidyanathan, Shankar and Subramanian-all of whom play the violin. They are world renowned. Dr. Subramanian has also played on several jazz and fusion platforms.
On the Classical level, their virtuosity is unquestioned. They used to play the varnam at four speeds in their concerts...which is extremely difficult.
On a personal level...Dr. Subramanian was married once (not twice as the article says) and was tragically bereaved when his wife died of an illness leaving him with three children (not four as the article says)
They were in California then and then moved to Bangalore, where he met Kavitha.

I love KKji. My most favorite song of hers is Main Vari Vari from Mangal Pandey. Her name sounds South Indian. Is she south indian?
