In the last few episodes we have seen egos clash and real music seems to have left with Nihira. There is still some talent left but in the midst of such egocentric mentors and the showcentric directors, talent remains wasted.

One of my biggest peeves is the fact that I used to like ID a lot until the time when he started the walkout drama. Let me build my case.. He knew very well that this competition is for one winner alone. In the episode after Nihira's elimination, it was probably unwarranted for him to leave. He was more concerned at that point about his own exit from the show rather than Debo's exit. It was pure ego talking. His attitude was like "I don't give a damn to great music or a good singer. I don't want out now". HR may be even more emphatic but he is a cheapo anway. I always considered him to be a great guy until that day.

Debo is a good singer but he was anyways not better than those already eliminated like Sharib or Nihira. There is no doubt that he still survives on a passion vote trickling from the northeast India.

Coming back to ID, when the kids wanted to stage a walkout without giving their reasons, ID was like .."In teeno mein se ek ko aaj jaana hi hoga"... Gimme a break, the audience is at a point where they want the show to end like a fairy tale and let all the remaining be declared winners. It is hurting to see any one of them go. But ID being the guy where he is now, is unjustified in forcing the show rules to eliminate one on the show. Infact, all mentors were of this view until ID staged a walkout. After his walkout, it is just a game of ikke-pe-ikka

I feel wanting your guy to win is one thing and wanting other guys to get eliminated just because you want your guy to get selected is another.

I feel the real reason why the kids staged a walkout was because they felt that the passion vote was ruining the spirit of true music which is the essence of this show. Their intentions were honorable but they ended up blaming the public with their actions. They were admonished and blamed by everyone including the mentors, gajji, and myriads of topics in this forum.

Gajji could have got the cue and appointed authorities in music to judge the show or eliminate multiple voting. But he did a volte-face and instead ended up blaming the kids, save the show in public's view and encourage the passion vote even further. God save the show...

Vote for whoever you want now.. Debo might end up winning the show... 😭

Atlast, I found a purgatory in this forum to vent my thoughts...

I agree with you 100%. In my opinion it's not AS who is the main culprit about all this drama, it is ID who is the main culprit. Debu sings good but he is surviving mostly on the basis of sympathy votes. I agree with you, sensing Debu might be out next time when mentor gave him low scores he played his trump card by stagging walk out. Which actually worked for him and debu. I guess everything from selecting an MP in election to selecting voice of India, most of the public go by emotions. And guys out there are very smart to catch the public nerve. Now look all this regionalism. People in NE would blindly vote for Debu even without hearing him. So guys I am not blaming anyone here just saying that no one should be blamed for excepy we people. It is because of majority of us that music has degraded to such a low level that MD while composing music only thinks that they should somehow able to sell 5 lakhs CD of this music to make it hit. I am sorry to say that if this is how MD are thinking, I don't see bright future our great India Music. It is the new generation who is going to be blamed for it.

I come to this forum whenever I am tipsy and I am glad that my slurring does not show in the post. Fortunately, there are no spelling mistakes.

I said the rules say that there is only one singer to win the contest. The audience feels otherwise. They want all of them to win. I don't see any assumptions... just personal viewpoints...

Feel free to maraud my post.. 😃

jumbalika ji, I respect your opinion but however did you get that feeling? I believe everyone has his/her own favorites.
Also, if you're going by the banners with the pictures of the contestants, those have been distributed by Zee.

Jumbalika, I see you as a peson who has guts to say truth no matter how how bad it tastes to others. I fully support your views here. I am not able to understand why janta is not able to understand theother side of the story. They only are thinking about kids doing walkout but no is talking about ID's walkout and the way he was talking to kids. As if he is a great MD. I agree he has given good music for 2 films but he doesn't have the right to talk like that in public. Can he explain why he staged walk out?

We all agree..

Ismail Darbar is as mediocre and opportunist like Deboo.
No doubt he has given 3 musical hits... he is good in music ... but overall demaneour is WEAK.

He cant even stick to his own words .. "Khel khatam.. leaving the show.."

In the last episode ... he sold the same old story about mothers wish .. mediocre Deboo has been selling so far.
