Round 1: Udit Narayan

Note: Udit's career started in the 80s, and even his break-through song came in the 80s. So the theme for this round really doesn't apply to Uditji. So any early 90's hit songs was acceptable for him this round.

RA gave me such a hard time picking the right song for this theme! 😆


- Papa Kehte Hain was before the 90s so therefore couldn't be used!
- My second song suggestion was a good one, but a very strong one which would be wise to use in later rounds.
- So finally I came down to this song & hopefully selected the right song! =)

there's really something about his voice that is different from the rest. he makes every song beautiful to listen to! now let's get down to this particular song!

i had a tough time selecting a song appropriate for this category since udit uncle's (😆) most famous debut song came out in the the 1980s and was not appropriate for this particular game. but let's not forget his great performance in "papa kehte hain."

ok ok now coming back to this song. sorry. lol.

this song is a beautiful number from my favorite actor's movie, darr. it is a very catchy song. udit uncle really has his voice utilized well in this song. he brings in the perfect emotions and tone to his voice quality. his higher notes are so close to flawless. i didn't notice a single place where he went off key or didn't hit the note right. he really put his heart and soul into this song while singing it. and because of this the listeners are easily able to connect with the voice. its obviously a love song, and he does such a good job expressing this though his voice quality. he has also added a lot of variations to the song. the difficulty level isn't the highest but that hardly matters for this song because udit ji has really utilized his best quality for this song.

A 9! Spectacular singing by Udit ji! He is a very good singer, and no doubts why!

He creates this awesome feel with his soothing voice, that portrays what is being said in the song...he did not go out of tune even once, his voice was very talented and mature for his first debut song...but I felt that he's voice may have been a little less mature than now...just a thought. It was commendable to see his adaptation to the changing track in the background👏

I feel too small to say anything about Uditji's singing.

I'll come straight to the point... I give this a 9

I love this song. Nice song selection, papa kehte hai wud have also been great. I like his voice quality in the song, his expressions create the right mood.

I ll rate it a 10 for sure
