Maampee sings like Alka Yagnik!

I felt that Maampee's voice and singing resembles Alka Yagnik's very closely!

Does anyone else agree with me?

(Maampee Chakraborty is the Bengali girl who sang 'Raina Beeti Jaaye' in Kolkata)

Omg I thought the SAME thing! Actually the first thing to pop into my head was that she has the perfect playback voice!

But I like Maampee better =D

I didnt hear her, but if this is true, I would LOVE to listen to her!

I actually thought she sounded alot like Torsha Sarkar from last years Indian idol

i liked loved Torshas voice so i like maampee
and i think both there voices do sound liek Alka

Now that I think about it, Torsha's voice is even more similar to Alka's than Maampee

Mampi was on Zee Saregamapa Bangla back in 2008. Thats the year Aneek Dhar was hosting it. He used to call her "A Fire in the Forest" from DumDum Cantonment. Unfortunately, she backed off of the Grand Finale and Dipanita won it. I hope she does really well in Singing Superstars.

Kya baat hai Dr.xobile, appreciate your observation & far vision. Maampee Nair sang Raina beete jaaye really well. She seems to be very good singer.
