Alka Yagnik Vs Shreya, who is better? - Page 7

In her prime, definitely Alka. Shreya's voice is too sugary for me. Alka's voice is sounding old now but in her prime its no contest for me.

In Alka ji's primetime Shreya was not even born I think lol.....Now if I compare shreya and Alka as Shreya is in the industry post Devdas .....I would say Shreya ....I sometimes find Alka's voice shrill at the high notes ....

I pick Alka.😛

Alkaji has given many beautiful songs, thats her legacy, Shreya is yet to make her own .. but she has got what it takes to make it big. Personally I like Shreya's voice better.

i dont see shreya as a legend in this era of himesh.

it's hard to say who is better..........i don't have the knowledge with respect to assessing someone's singing talent with regards to the technical merits of singing.

to me, from a leyman's perspective........both have transparent and soothing voices.

the only thing i would say is that i think shreya has her own identity...as in i can tell when shreya sings a a certain song..that she sang and say yes...shreya sang that song

with regards to alka, i think you can make the argument that to a certain extent.....her voice has some similarities to lata

I would have to disagree with your comments here........although i do not have substantial evidence to refute your comments................so i guess you can say that i am giving a subjective preference
....not a factual argument..................other way i do like alka's voice also............but since the question is asking to give a preference between the two singers............i would choose shreya!!!!!!!!!

i search for both singing and voice..

i have found that in singers like rafi saab and kishore da.. i am not going to waste my time posting anti himesh stuff...
