Well deserved victory for Hemant!
Like most of us, I too was baffled at the song choices. None of them were energetic finale worthy numbers.
I didn't much enjoy Vishnumayas first performance. I thought she went shrill in places. It no doubt a very tough song, and she didn't do justice. She came back stronger with her second performance, and I was expecting her to St more or less the same kind of votes like her first performance.
Zaid, sang pretty well. I think the choice of song let him down. In my opinion he should've made it to the top 3. I'd rate his performance at par with Vishunamayas first, if not slightly better.
Rohanpreet - I remember writing on the forums a few weeks ago, that he's a mediocre singer at best. And I think he wanted to prove me right! The last few performances have been quite poor, but he's lucky to have such a solid fan base. He should've gone out first. His second performance wasn't any better either. He's been going out of tune a lot.
Hemant - I like the song, and loved his performance. Yes, he did shout in places, but it was sureela shouting. He was the only one who performed like in a finale (though I think the song wasn't finale worthy). I liked the rock effect, and he sang a style that's not his comfort zone. What more can you expect in your winner?
I've read posts bashing the Brijwasis, I agree Daddy Brijwasi was melodramatic, and then some wanting a muh dikhai of Mrs. Hemant Brijwasi. Let's leave their personal lives to them.
I hope to see you all around in the other forums. If not, hopefully next year for rising star 3.
