Such a dull episode! Didn't enjoy it one bit!
Wild cards were so disappointing! They were all bad. I don't know how the judges voted up for any of them! It's a shame how Chetan and Rainit are getting second chances based on these performances!
The most baffling thing for me was the song choices. When its make or break time you choose songs that will help enhance your strengths and not purposefully complicated ones. The judges and audience never vote based on how difficult the song was - the voting is always on how well you execute it.
And why were only these 3 given a second chance? I agree they were good, but then why not Saagar? Or one of the contestants that exited earlier? And why have the wildcard now? It's unfair to the people who're going out now. They're not going to get another chance, are they? That said, thank god they didn't invite Sindhu Tai for the wildcards! 😆. Aman looked more relieved than upset at leaving. I think he didn't sing to his full potential, this song is high energy and he went off key so many times. I think he's mentally not ready for this competition.
I agree with what Lisa said about Monali being rude and questioning Rainit's disability. As someone with a disability, I know how hard it is to even tell people you have one, let alone lie about it on national television just to gain sympathy! Not done, Monali! Learn to be compassionate! Definitely don't give Rainit points just because of his disability. But don't raise questions on if he's lying about it! So tacky and cheap. I never thought much of Monali as a judge but now I don't think much of her as a person either!
I just forwarded all the drama and chats and went straight to the performances. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't think Jaya deserved to go based on her performance today. She was good. She sang in tune and did full justice to the song. She was so much better than her earlier performances when she got voted 90% at times! So bewildering the Indian junta is!
Again in the minority when I say I did not enjoy Harmony group's performance. Usually i love these guys but today they sounded chaotic and jumbled. I love that they put a different grungy spin on the song and i love they way they do their mash-ups. But simplicity is the key, dude! Their tutaaris were not deserved IMO. I have to admit it's not at all easy to do what they do - 19 people singing their own thing and what you hear is a blend, a harmony of their singing, as opposed to a solo singer who just has to focus on his/her voice. Singing harmonies is tough - I've done it with only one other person and its hard enough with one let alone 19! But the audience fails to appreciate these nuances. They've been consistently getting votes in the 83-86% range and I'm afraid one of these days that's just not going to be good enough.
Mamta- what was this song? I was sitting with my brow furrowed and nose scrunched up all through. What a bewildering song choice! I have never heard this song and I cannot say if she sang it well or not. All I can say is that I didn't like the song and hence didn't enjoy the performance.
Akhtar Brothers - Boring. They do the same thing over and over. Their alaaps and harkats are getting old. And their singing fails to connect with me. Again didn't know the song they sang but didn't matter since all the songs they sing sound the same to me. 🥱
Vishnumaya - She was the best IMHO. Her voice is so clear, so lilting. Although agree she could've done better with this song (its a beautiful song), I still think she sang it very well. And compared to the others today, she totally stood out for me.
