Overall boring timewaste episode🥱 except hemant...

But yes on a serious not, he did NOT deserve to go. Very unfortunate!

Yes I am very disapointed. I was so happy that initially they were including amazing experienced singers. This not only is appropriate for singing show but also will help the contestants to learn from them and give the opputunity to meet them.

But what is the point of bringing actors??

If they can't bring in singers all the time, then how about amazing musicians like Vishal-Shekhar, A.R Rahman or Amit Trivedi etc. The contestents will learn SO much from them and this will also help their career if one of the musicians likes their singing.

But unfortunately for the channel the show is only a money making sheme. And the show is doing well, so more and mpre actors are going to come and promote. 😔

i saw video of hemant rerhearsing for romantic song and vishnumaya ka bhi

romantic theme rakhte dono din to behtar rehta

Could you somehow share the video here as voot is not available in my country and I would really like to know what they had planned to sing. 😊

And yes romantic songs for both days would have been better.

I think it was an average episode. I love Govinda, he's my favorite comic actor but like most of you I agree that his songs are more dance numbers and less performance oriented for a reality show. That said, I'm gutted that Aman performed one of my favorite Govinda songs and was eliminated! 😭

Let me review in the order of my rating:

1. Hemant Brijwasi: Have to hand it to him. Not a note our of place, flawless performance. I wish they'd stop hyping him up so much though. It puts pressure on him and its unfair to the other contestants. I think no one can be unaffected by this much praise, I have a feeling Hemant has left humility far behind 😆, and while confidence is a good thing, over-confidence is a trap that he needs to avoid. The judges don't help matters and the guy has already bagged a recording contract with SEL. 🤔

2. Mamta: Another of my favorite Govinda numbers. She sang it well. It wasn't too much of a stretch for her since it was very much her genre. Hearing these songs today reaffirmed for me what Shankar was saying - Govinda managed to create such magic on screen with pretty basic songs - I can't think of these songs separately - like, his expressions, his steps - always play on my mind when I hear these songs and its his performance that is unforgettable- not the songs.

3. Vishnumaya - I don't know what it is about this girl and her voice. She sings so cleanly. I mean- if you take away the background music I don't think it'd change a thing about her singing. Her voice embellishes the music and not the other way round. Her choice of song left a bit to be desired but I still love her.

4. Aman: For once he didn't choke, he even had the lyrics written down on the palm of his hand to boost his confidence (not sure if that was legit, but given his propensity for choking I guess they allowed it). Not sure what happened, his performance wasn't bad, I kept hoping the meter would rise, but the audience seemed to have kind of written him off. What a pity! Oh and did I mention I love this song?

5. Afreen group: Like someone said earlier, they're just noise to me. They look very energetic on screen, but their performances leave me cold and my ears feel like they've endured something traumatic! 😆. I wish they'd change their style a bit, but they're a qawwali group and they keep playing to their strengths. I can barely manage to figure out what song they're singing 😳 Btw, I could only figure out "Suno Sasurji", did they do another song in the medley?

6. Shashank: Another iconic Govinda song. He couldn't do anything to it. I'm not sure why all the judges voted up today. His voice is flat, is not powerful or adaptable enough to infuse the right amount of "Masti" in this song. He manages to sing in tune. That is all I can say for him. He was plain lucky to be saved today.

About the drama and the other stuff, I forwarded all those bits and went straight to the performances 😆. That's the advantage of watching online I guess. Sindhu Tai's entry had me hitting forward faster than you can say Usain Bolt!! 😆. Plus the tutaari moments have become 🥱. My family has developed some rather inappropriate jokes around it and the fact that the word lends

itself to jokes makes the whole thing a riot for us!!! 🤣

Today's episode was so much better! The theme was "Salaam-e-ishq" and needless to say, there was no dearth of songs to choose from.

As always, my review appears in the order of my ranking of today's contestants.

1. Rohanpreet: I don't know what but there is so much sincerity in his voice, so much feeling! I think he feels the song as he sings it and it shows in his performance. Though technically perhaps Hemant and the Akhtar brothers are ahead of him, but when it comes to connecting with the song and connecting to the audience, IMO, Rohanpreet scores above them both. 👏 I'm amazed Shankar found a tiny detail to nitpick on in his singing while he let others who made mistakes get away without any comment! 😲

2. Akhtar Brothers: I wanted to put Harmony chorus as no.2 but in all honesty I have to give it to these two. They are perfect. Soulless - but perfect. The harmonies at the end where one brother sings the refrain while the other does the harkats is getting repetitive. They didn't make a single mistake and that was proved by Shankar's comment that he would've had them sing the original song. Now Hemant and they are going to sing the same song?? Why so kanjoos Shankarji? You don't have a different song to give them from your vast composing kitty?? 😛

3. Harmony Chorus: What can I say? I love these kids. They are a revelation. They bring in something unique to the table and the way they seamlessly blend the songs in the medley is a wonder! Plus the cute dance moves! All in perfect co-ordination! How do they do it? I love them! I know they won't go far in the competition since the voting public in India does not have the ability to be discerning! But to me, they are the find of Rising Star. I am so eager to hear from them every week! ⭐️

4. Zaid Ali: He started off brilliantly and all the judges voted up immediately! What even?? I do agree his opening was very good, but later in the antara he went off-key a couple of times. I think it was more the song choice that got him the votes, plus his persona. And this song was never a favorite of mine.. so yeah.

5. Jaya: She was off-key in the antaras. I think the judges realized it too after they voted up and I caught them exchanging glances when she did. Monali was being honest when she said Harmony Chorus was way better than her, but why am I not surprised that they got less votes than her? That's the way public votes in India.

6. Dr Sudeep: I actually thought he was way better today than all of his previous performances. But in all fairness, he deserved to go. I thought they were being rather mean by saying that he was lucky on TV! We all know it but why declare it publicly?

This romance special episode was far better than the previous episode!! With better music and less drama.. Performances were also overall good.. Now coming to the performances, in no order of my liking coz I liked most of them equally 😆.

Rohan - This boy always gets the feel of the song right. I was not that interested in hearing this song from him because I feel he is highly getting typecast with romantic numbers, when he very well knows to sing other styles too. But his performance went beyond my expectations. I absolutely loved how he did not do an exact copy but made the song his own.. I loved his small harkatein in the song, his ending was amazing, I was awestruck. Agree with Lizzie, he may not be perfect but he is above others when it comes to connecting with the audience!! And that smile with which he sings, is simply adorable!! And was this his first tutari? I think Ravi got it wrong 🤔.

Akhtar Bros - They were superb as always!! They got 25% in their alaap itself 😆. I loved their alaap the most, absolutely perfect. But aren't they just getting repetitive? I sometimes cannot differentiate between the songs they sing every week 🤔. I am happy for them too to get an opportunity from Shankar, but I was like why the same song? Why mix both of them, their individual essence will reduce if the three sing together in the same song!!

Zaid baccha 😆 - I love this little one the most ❤️. I love how he dresses up in some character every episode now, yesterday his moustache was falling 😆 and today I loved the cute six pack outfit 😆.. Ok now coming to his performance 😛.. This boy is something else, his alaap was fantastic, and he got the energy right, everyone came dancing to the stage 😆. My heart simply warms up when I see everyone's love for him!! The little harkatein he made in between were amazing and I love what he does with his fingers 😆. But yeah I loved his romantic song he sang for Disha more than his performance 😆.

Harmony chorus - This performance of theirs has been one of my favorites from them, after last week's Sridevi tribute.. Did anyone notice all the songs were from SRK movies? Such iconic songs, the songs itself were a winner for me. Adding to the perfection with which they sang, their cute little dance steps were superb!! My heart broke when they did not get a score above Jaya, I'm glad Monali mentioned that they were better than Jaya..

Now coming to the rest two okayish performances for me..

Jaya - My least favorite performance.. I don't know how she got a Yes from the judges 🤔. She sounded sharp throughout the song!! And why even choose this song? She had better songs to select for her voice.. Did not deserve 84 either..

Dr. Sudeep - I liked how he added his own variations to the song, the song suited his voice.. But I don't know why I felt that he was trying too hard.. He could just take it a little easy, would have been a better performance.. Guess the pressure of being the last. Anyways, he still deserved to go!!

But I feel Rohan got another tutari before, even he was saying this was his second..

So i liked this episode far better than the last one, salaam ae ishq should be theme for both episodes.😃 one thing i will say they should reduce airing time , its too boring to watch a show for 2 hours 😕

1)Rohanpreet - he is the soul of the show 😳what a subtle , simple and sweet performance... i may download it to listen on repeat .. i dislike it when they try to show him as most handsome out there..his singing is his recognition , hope they stop with it soon! I just have one complaint with him , most contestants are exploring new genres but why is not he?? is he told by colors not to do it to keep him in chocolate romantic boy type image.. i hope he sings something party song next week..

2) Zaid - I love him ❤️ i find it very cute when he turn himself into song get up 😳 i cant see him getting eliminated before finale... coming to his performance there were few flaws that can be observed even by viewers but nonethe less his energy overshadows those minor flaws and i enjoyed him the most after rohanpreet! And he goes out of his comfort zone from sufi songs to high energy number 👍🏼

3) Harmony Chorus - I liked their performance too but i did not like first song they sing (did not remeber which one) overall it was decent could be better.. hope they would have choosen other song in place of first one.. now i feel they wont last long

4) Akhtar Brothers - I love them but they are getting repetitive , that sargam , aalap is not working for me now , they need to do something different now.. i have so many expectations from them

they are disappointing me now

5) Jaya - very very below average singing , as a layman even i can find out after half song she ruined it terribly 😡 judges should wait till song end to gv green to such contestants 🥱 for me she and dr were at par in worse singing even doctor did justice to song n sing average so doctor above her wd very little margin

6) Sudeep - doctor is gone!! he and jaya equally deserved to go... he did justice to song but song was not any exceptional.. normal kids can sing it this way too... wishing him lots of success and luck!!

my question is why jaya and shashank is still there?
