Diya gets ready to leave for Kesar Mahal. She wants to take permission from her papasaa about it, but he is not at home. She meets her masaa and asks her- Masaa, Papasaa ghar par nahin hain? Masaa- nahin, woh abhi baahar gaye hain.. Unhe time lagega aane mein. Kyun, kya hua? Kuch zaroori kaam tha? Diya- nahin.. Woh.. Woh, masaa... Hume abhi kesar mahal jaana hoga. Ek urgent kaam aa gaya hai, humare, I mean, Ratan ke project se related... Yeh bahut important project hai Ratan ke kiye, isliye... Kya?.Kya hum wahan jaa sakte hain, masaa? Please..? Hum aapse promise karte hain ki hum jaldi aa jayenge.. Masaa- agar aapke papasaa ko pata chaleha, to unhe achcha nahin lagega, Diya.. Aap kal hi to wahan se aayi hain, aur itnaa sab hone ke baad, aaj fir se kesar mahal jaana theek hain.. Diya- Masaa, hum sirf aur sirf hotel ja rehen hai, aur apne office mein kaam niptaa ke jaldi aa jayenge.. Hum Ratan ke ghar nahin jayenge, promise.. Masaa, kya hum jaa sakte hain..? Masaa- theek hai.. Diya- thank you masaa... She is so happy that her mom has given her permission to go. While Diya turns around to go out of the room, Masaa stops her. Masaa - diya? Diya- haan, masaa? Masaa- kya aap sach mein Ratan se bahut pyaar karti hain? Esha ne bataya tha humme iss baare mein..
Diya's eyes get wet hearing this question and she tries to hold back her tears in front of her mother.. But she is unable to.. Tears start flowing down her cheeks continuously.. Masaa got the answer to her question, without Diya uttering a single word.. She hugs Diya tightly, trying to comfort her. Masaa knows that her daughter is heartbroken... Masaa lets Diya take her time to speak her heart out.. Diya hadn't shared her feelings with anyone till now, except her sister Esha.. She had succeeded in hiding her emotions, even while leaving kesar mahal.. But when Masaa asked about her love for Ratan, she just cudnt control her emotions in front of her mother... She kept crying and tears didn't stop coming out of her eyes. In Diya's teary eyes, Masaa cud see immense love for Ratan ...
Diya -Masaa, haan.. Hum ratan se bahut pyaar karte hain... Bahut zyada, khud se bhi zyadaa... Unse alag hokar hume nai pata, hum kaise jee payenge? She is crying inconsolably. Masaa- Diya, aapne aap ko sambhaliye... Diya- Masaa, hume nai pata ki yeh sab kaise hua aur kab hua..? Hum jaante hai kin halaato mein, Ratan ko humse shaadi karni padi.. Hum jaante hain ki woh, iss samay shaadi ke liye taiyaar nai the, aur humaara yeh rishta sirf ek dikahwaa tha baaki ghar waalon ke liye. Hum sab ko humari shaadi ki sachayi bhi sab ko bataane waale the.. Par pata nai kab, hume Ratan itne achche lagne lag gaye.. Unka gussa, unki nok jhonk, unke nakhre, unki humare liye care, hamare liye concern, har pal humare liye chinta, Unki har ek baat hume bahut achi lagne lagi.. Woh itne achche hain masaa, itne sache, itne saafdil .. Pata nai masaa, par hum apne aap ko, Ratan se pyar karne se nai rok paye... Masaa- Diya, mat roiye...Hum samjhate hain..Plz mat roiye...Sambhaliye aapne aapko. Diya is still trying to stop her tears... Masaa- Diya, ek baat puchen, itna sab hone ke baad, kya aap fir se kesar mahal jaa payengi.. ? Diya wiping her tears- Haan, masaa.. yahan baat humari nai hain, Ratan ke project ki hai.. Hum Ratan ke liye kuch bhi kar sakte hain... Chaahe uss-se hume hi takleef kyu na ho.. Humne ab apne emotions ko, apni feelings ko, Ratan se chupaana sikh liya hai.. Hum manage kar lenge, aap chinta mat kijiye..
Masaa feels little relaxed seeing diya's confidence that she can control her emotions in front of ratan... Masaa- theek hai fir, aap jaldi se jaiye aur jaldi waapis bhi aa jayigaa, aapke papasaa ke aane se pahle... Diya- aap chinta mat kijiye, hum jaldi aa jayenge, masaa.. Aur waapis aake hum khud papasaa ko bhi bata denge aur unhe samjhaa denge.. theek hai.? Car is waiting outside Diya's home.. Diya leaves for kesar mahal..
In Kesar Mahal, Ratan is too excited to meet Diya again.. He himself didn't know why is he so excited, so restless to meet her (He consoles himself thinking- because woh meri best frens hain, isliye... aur nai to kya... yehi wazah hai.. haan) He goes to diya's office to check if she has come.. He finds Hotel manager and Yash there.. He is unhappy to know that diya hasn't come yet.. Yash finds Ratan standing outside the room- kaakusaa, haan, main maanta hun ki yeh sab aapka plan hai.. Par aap aise yahan mat kade hoiye.. Plan ke mutaabik, aapki entry baad mein honi hai,, Jaiye yahan se, warna hum pakde jayenge... Ratan makes a sad face and leaves... but he is not able to control himself for long and comes back to check again.. Yash - kaakusaa..? Aap fir se yahan aa gaye.. plz jaiye.. Ratan- haan, haan, jaa raha hun.. But he is still standing there, near the door.. Yash goes near Ratan and holds his shoulders and asks- Kaakusaa, kya hua? Kya baat hai? Diya baisaa aa jayengi.. Aur unke aate hi, hum aapko phone karke bula lenge..theek hai..? Ratan- Nai yash banaa, baat woh nai hai.. Bas kujhse rukaa nai jaa raha..Mera mann kar raha hai ki main yaheen par Diya ka wait karun..
Yash- kaakusaa..? yeh kya? itni baichaini kyu...? aap dono to sirf achche dost hain na.? Ek dost ke liye itni baichaini?? Abhi to sirf ek din hi hua hai, diya baisaa ko kesar mahal se gaye hue, aur aapka yeh haal hai.. Kaakusaa, Humme to kuch gadbad lag rahi hai..Kyun kaakusaa..? He pokes ratan with his elbow and stares him mischievously.. Ratan- kya gadbad...? kuch bhi bolte hain aap, yash banaa.. kuch baichaini waichaini nai ho rahi hume.. Hum jaa rahen hai.. He thinks- its better to leave, warna Yash ki theory to kisi bhi direction mein chali jayegi... He waits near reception, but in a corner, so that if Diya comes she wont be able to see him..
Diya comes and is heading straight to her office.. Meanwhile Ratan gets a call on his mobile and moves towards window to get a good signal.. Diya crosses in front of reception, Ratan's heartbeat starts increasing... He gets some strange feeling in his heart, as if his wait is over.. He turns around and finds no one there, except his hotel staff. But he is sure that he felt something strange, few seconds ago.. as if.. as if Diya was here...
He rushes towards Diya's office.. He finds Diya there.. Ratan is facing Diya's backside and is not able to see her face...Diya takes file in her hand and starts checking data in the file... She is now busy talking to hotel manager and Yash. Ratan is entering the room.. Diya's heart skips a beat, she stops talking and looks at Yash. Yash is already looking towards Ratan, who is behind her... She turns around... Ratan sees Diya.. She is looking so elegant and much more beautiful (today She is not wearing her khandaani outfit, instead she is in a simple white colored anaarkali dress with her hair open..She wasn't wearing those heavy jewelry today, which she had to wear as kesar mahal's thakraanisaa.. Only jewelry she was wearing, was her mangalsutra, along with another gold chain, Ratan had given her, just before leaving for adventure trip). She had minimal makeup, yet her face looked so bright.. That small red bindi on her forehead added to her beauty.. Though Ratan had seen Diya like that earlier, but this time Ratan was able to admire her beauty and elegance in a different way.. Ratan was so lost looking at her, that he just cudn't say even a word.. Diya too was speechless seeing Ratan again, standing next to her.. Their lips didn't utter a word, but their eyes were able to talk to each other.. (Ratan- Diya, aap aa gayi..? Main kab se aapkaa wait kar raha thaa. Diya- Haan Ratan, hum aa gaye)
Yash - Arey kaakusaa, aap? Chaliye achcha hua aap aa gaye.. Diya baisaa files check rahi hain..He gives an angry look to Ratan and whispers to him- Aap itni jaldi kyun aa gaye, hum aapko thodi der mein phone karne waale they na? Thoda sa bhi wait nai hota aapse, kaakusaa! Diya- Yash banaa, manager sir, kya gadbad hai funds ke data main, hume to kuch bhi galat nai lag raha hai. Yash- haan Diya bai saa, kuch bhi galat nai hai. Diya - kya matlab? Yash- haan, kuch bi galat nai hai, ab.. I mean, jab hamne aapko phone kiya tha, tab bahut gadbad thi data mein. Kyun manager sir? Yash pokes manager.. Manager- haan, thakraani saa.. Yash- par abhi kuch der pahle yahan, Kaakusaa aye the, humne unhe woh files dikhaayi, unhone bataya ki correct data wali files unke paas hai. Aapki assistant kal aapko mil nai payi, isliye unhone files kaakusaa ko de di.. yehi hain woh files.. ab sab theek hai inme.. Diya- oh.. par aise kaise, humari assistant ne data mein galati ki? Aur agar baad mein, usne kuch data correction kiya bhi tha, to pahle waala data hata dena chahiye the, itna confusion to nai hota, atleast. Manger sir, mujhe woh papers dikhaiye jisme galat data tha.. Yash-arey nai, diya baisaa, shaant.. Woh papers humne discard karwa diye haine, taaki dobara confusion na ho... Chaliye, chodiye inn sabko.. Ab sab kuch theek hai, yahaan (he looks at ratan as if he meant- ratan ab theek hai) Kaakusaa ne sab sambhaal liya... Diya looks at Ratan, Ratan gives her a smile.. She smiles back, hesitantly.
Yash- Chaliye aap, aaiye humaare saath.. He takes her outside her office.. Ratan follows them.. Diya- yash banaa, ab sab confusion clear ho gayi hai, to kya hum jayen? Hume jaldi waapis janaa hai.. Ratan gets worried hearing this.. He talks to himself- Diya abhi to yahan aayi hai, aur abhi se jaane ke liye kah rahi hai.. Aur mujhse to ek baat bhi nai ki, woh to tab se sirf yash banaa aur manager se hi baat kiye ja rahi hain..Mera kya, jisne unhe yahan aise bulaane ka plan banaya tha..? Yash- aise kaise Diya baisaa, humaare saath ek coffee bhi nai piyengi ab aap? Diya- nai yash banna, aaj nai.. Yash- humara ab itna bhi haq nai hai aap par.. kyun?(he requests again) Diya- ok, par sirf ek coffee... Yash- done, sirf ek coffee.. Kaakusaa, aap dur kyun khade hain, aaiye naa.. Aap coffee lenge na? Ratan (in his mind- of course, yash banaa.. For ur kind info, it was my plan to call diya here, aur aap mere plan mein, mujhe hi guest appearance ki tarah treat kar rahen hain. Tab se aap hi diya ke saath baatein kiye ja rahen hain. Mera kya.? Aur diya, aap bhi na.. mujhse to baat hi nai kar rahin aap). Ratan- haan yash banaa, kyun nai.. I desperately need a coffee right now..
They sit to have coffee.. Meanwhile Yash gets a call.. He tells Diya- Mohana is calling me for some urgent work, I will have to go...Sorry diya baisaa, hum coffee ke liye nai ruk payenge..Par kaakusaa hain, aapko company dene ke liye.. Diya- its ok yash banaa.. aap jaiye.. After yash leaves, Diya feels little awkward with Ratan alone.. She thinks of leaving without having coffee.. Diya- Actually ratan, humme bhi bahut der ho rahi hai, hum bhi chalte hain.. She gets up and turns around to go.. Ratan holds her hand tightly and stops her..
Ratan- Diya...! Diya feels the tight grip on her hand and looks towards Ratan.. Ratan- Ab kya aap, kuch der bhi nai ruk sakti.. mere saath? Plz, thodi der ruk jaaiye, mere saath.. Diya looks into his innocent eyes, which conveyed the message that he needs to talk to her... She cudnt say no to Ratan's request.. Diya sits back on chair.
Ratan- aap theek hain, diya?Diya- haan Ratan, hum theek hain.. Ratan- par, mujhe kuch ajeeb sa kyu lag raha hai, jaise aap mujhe avoid kar rahi ho.. Diya- Aisa kuch nai hai, Ratan.. Woh hum bas jaldi jaana chahte hain.. Isliye, Aapse theek baat nahin kar paaye.. Ratan- Agar aisa hai to, aap mujhe se nazre chura kar, kyu baat kar rahi hain?
Diya- Ratan, aap bhi nai.. Hume kaha na, aisa kuch nai hai..She tries hard to speak to Ratan face to face.. Ratan- Theek hai, main aapki baat main leta hun.. Aap meri best fren hain, kya iss naate, main aapse apne dil ki baat share kar sakta hun? Diya- haan, boliye? though she is feeling little scared hearing this..
Ratan - Diya, mujhe pata hai, hum dono me bahut dino se, theek se baat nai hui..Aur fir achaanak aapko kakusaa kesar mahal se le gaye.. Tab se, mujhe bahut ajeeb se feeling ho rahi hai.. Aapse milna ka bahut mann kar raha tha, isliye aapko phone par pucha bhi.. Haan, pichle kuch dino, hum dono thodi awkward si situation mein the, aur achche se baat nai kar paaye.. Par mann mein atleast mujhe ek satisfaction to thi ki, aap yahin hain, mere aas paas.. Par jab se aap yahan se gayi hain, mujhe kuch theek nai lag raha hai.. Mujhe nai pata, agar main kuch zyada bol raha hun, ya kuch zyada feel kar raha hun, par main apne mann ki baat aapko batana chahta tha, isliye khud ko rok nai paaya yeh sab kahne se.. Aapko bura to nai lag raha hain na, ki main kitna selfish hun.. Sirf apne baare main hi sochta hun.. Aapke mann ki situation kaisi hai, maine socha hi nai.. Par main jaanta hun, aap mentally aur emotionally bahut strong hain, mature hain.. Aur aap khud to sambhaalna bahut achche se jaanti hai.. .. Par main yeh sab nai jaanta..?
Diya interrupts him - Ratan, its normal.. Woh pahle hum dono saath rahte the, kafi saara samay ek dusre ke sath bitaate the, hume ek dusre ki bahut aadat ho gayi thi. Aur ab hume kesar mahal chodna pada, isliye aapko humari absence feel ho rahi hai, apne fren ki kami mahsoos ho rahi hai.. Bas, aur kuch nai.. kuch dino mein aapko iski bhi aadat pad jayegi... Ratan is trying to convince his heart with the explanation given by Diya. Diya- Chaliye,yeh sab chodiye.. Ab hume bataiye, yeh sab natak kya tha?Ratan is surprised to hear her question- natak, kya natak? Diya- Files mein galat data ka natak. Ratan is shocked to hear this from diya (he thinks- arey, diya ko kaise pata chal gaya ki woh sab mera plan tha). Ratan- aapko kaise pata chala? Yash ne bataaya aapko? Diya- Ratan, yash banna ne hume kuch nai bataya.. Aur waise bhi, hum aapko bahut achche se jaante hain.. Aapke kiye, kai kaarnaame pata hain humme.. Aur yeh unn sab se kuch alag nai tha.. Jab hum hotel ke andar aane waale the, humari assistant hume bahar jaate hue mil gayi thi, usne bataya ki aap logon ne ussey zabardasti 4 dino ki chutti de di hai. Hum tabhi samajh gaye the ki yeh aap hi ke plan ka hissa hoga.
Ratan laughs on his silly mistake.. Ratan- Diya, aap mujhe kitne ache se jaanti hain... Diya, waise aapko to detective hona chahiye.. Diya is happy seeing that cute smile back on Ratan's face. Ratan looks little relaxed now, which relieves Diya.. Diya- Achcha ratan, ab hum chalte hain.. Ratan- itni jaldi? Plz Kuch der aur, Diya ? Diya- nai ratan, der ho rahi hai.. ok, good bye.. Ratan- don't say, good bye..Kahiye fir milte hain.. Diya- ok, fir milte hain (she didn't want to say this, but had to, as she didn't want to upset ratan again).. ab hum jaayen? Ratan- ok, diya..Ratan smiles. Diya, ek minute? Diya- ab kya hua, ratan? Ratan- kya main aapko ghar drop kar dun? (Ratan didn't want to miss any opportunity to spend some more time with diya)
Diya- nahin, ratan.. Hum chale jayenge.. Par agar aapko papasaa ka mood kharaab karna hai, aur unse kaafi saari daant khaani hai, to hum aapko manaa nai karenge..Aa jaiye. Ratan- main unki daant khaane ko taiyaar hun, par meri wajah se unka mood kharaab ho, yeh main nai chahta..Diya, par main apni car to bhijwaa sakta hun, aapko apke ghar drop karne ke liye?Diya - theek hai, Ratan..Ab hum chalte hain, bye.. Ratan- fir se, bye? Diya- ok, ok.., fir milte hain.. Ratan was happy that he cud finally meet diya and cud spend little time with her (he knew it wasn't enough though).
But, Diya was almost in tears, while she was leaving.. She had been acting throughout, trying to behave normally in front of Ratan, but every moment spent with Ratan, was reminding diya of her love for him.. How difficult it was for her, to hide her pain and make Ratan understand that whatever strange feeling he is having, it is just because of the frenship between them and nothing else..
For Ratan, rest of the day was liitle busy with the project work. Ratan's heart was little relieved, after meeting Diya but he was still feeling some unrest within, reason for which he was still trying to know.. Ratan's mind kept thinking abt Diya time to time and he kept struggling with his thoughts..
In the night, he goes to bed to sleep. But this again reminds him of diya (as, earlier diya used to sleep on that bed and ratan on the couch near the window).. Ratan stops and turns towards couch to sleep.. He is not able to sleep and keeps changing sides.. Diya had occupied his mind totally.. Her absence didn't let him sleep.. Now he is angry with himself and thinks- Kya ho gaya hai mujhe? Diya ke samjhaane ke baad bhi , main kyun nai samajh paa rahaa hun.. aakhir kya hai yeh? Kyun main itna affected hun, diya ki gair-maujudgi se.. Hum bas fren hi to hain. Aur ek fren ke dur jaane se, itni baichaini..? itni ghabrahat? He gets up and decides to go to library to spend some time reading books there, so that his mind gets diverted.. Yash sees him, going towards library..
Yash- Kaakusaa, aap iss waqt yahan? Ratan- haan, woh mujhe neend nai aa rahi thi..Yash- oh.. aap diya baisaa ko miss kar rahe the? Ratan- nahi.. nahin.. Yash gives him a little angry stare as he knows ratan is lying to him.. Ratan- Aise kyun dekh rahen hain, yash banaa.. Par sach kahun to, haan.. Main diya ko bahut miss kar raha hun, isiliye mujhe neend bhi nai aa rahi hai.. Yash- oh.. aur, kya main puch sakta hun ki, aap diya baisaa ko itna kyu miss kar rahen hain? According to you, Aap dono to sirf dost hain na..? Aur, ek din bhi, aap uss dost ke bina , nahin kaat pa rahen hain, kyu? Ratan- I don't know, yash banaa.. Diya ne bhi yahi kaha ki, Mujhe unke sath rahne ki aadat ho gayi thi.. Isliye, dosti mein aisa lagna natural hai.. Yash- unhone aisa isliye kaha, kyunki aap bilkul buddhu hain.. Ratan kya matlab.. ? Yash- woh jaanti hain, koi kisi ko kab itna miss karta hai.. Ratan- kab?
Yash- jab usse pyar ho jaata hai.. itna bhi nai jaante aap? Ratan- no ways, yeh pyar nai hai.. Yash- aapka kuch nai ho sakta, kaakusaa... yeh pyar nai to kya hai, bataaiye. Ratan- yeh, pyar nai hai. I know wat love is.. Yash- to aap bataiye, pyar kya hai? Ratan- Humm.. pyar? Pyar ka matlab hai... jab aapko koi bahut zyada achcha lagne lage.. U r attracted towards her, u touch her, kiss her, hug her.. Ur heart tells u that its love.. Aur jab pyar hota hai to, itni mehnat nai lagti, yeh jaanane mein ki, whether its love or not? Aap bhi naa, yash banaa... Yash interrupts him- stop, kaakusaa.. yeh kya kah rahen hain aap? Attraction, touching, hugging, kissing? No wonder, diya baisaa ne aapko convince kar diya hai, ki aap yeh sab sirf dosti ke wajah se feel kar rahen hain.. Ratan- kya matlab hai, aapka?
Yash- kaakusaa.. Aap ko nai pata, sachcha pyar kya hota hai.. chaliye, aapki theory aazmaate hain, aapne kabhi Diya baisaa ko touch kiya hai? Ratan- haan, isme kya hai.. kai baar kiya hai..
Yash- aapne kabhi Diya baisaa ko hug kiya hai? Ratan- haan.. kai baar kiya hai.. unko apni gaud mein uthaa ke, kai baar ghumaaya bhi hai..
Yash- aapne kabhi Diya baisaa ko kiss kiya hai? Ratan- yeh kya puch rahen hain aap?Yash- bataiye naa?Ratan- umm, not exactly kiss, par kiss hone hi waali thi ek baar, jab humare face galti se ek dusre se takraaye the..
Yash- kya Aapko woh bahut sunder lagti hain? Aur aapko unse milne kaa baar baar mann karta hai?Ratan- haan..
Yash- that means u r attracted towards her, in a way.. To ab aapke-waale pyar ki sab conditions to fulfil ho gayi. Hence, according to your theory of love, aap diya baisaa se pyar karte hain.. Ratan- No.. I mean, ya I may agree that my theory is wrong, then yash banaa, aap ki bataaiye yeh pyar exactly hai kya.. Yash- kaakusaa, lagta hai, hume hi aapke pyar ki gaadi ko start karna padega, aur shayad dhakka bhi hume hi dena padega.. Ratan- aapko itna pata hai to bataaiye naa, pyar kya hai..? Yash- theek hai, hum aapse kuch sawaal puchege.. Aapko sawaal sunte hi, jiska khayaal sabse pahle aata hai, aapko uss se pyar hai.. Ratan- oh really.. this sounds interesting.. m ready.. Ratan is excited to participate in this questionnaire of love..
Yash- apni aaken bana kariye, aur sochiye, kaun hain woh

With each question, ratan's heart beat starts increasing, as he is not able to believe who was coming to his mind.. His mind and his heart both called out Diya's name everytime, shattering Ratan's belief that there was nothing more than frenship..
Ratan- bas, bas, yash banaa.. bahut lambaa ho gaya aapka yeh questionnaire. Yash- kyun kya hua.. abhi to aur bhi hai.. ek aisa insaan, jiske paas, bahut paas, aane se aapke dil ki dhakan tez ho jayen? Ratan-bas yash banaa. Bas.. bahut hua.. kya ek insaan, ek insaan laga rakha hai.. Mujhe nai lagta inn sabka koi matlab hai.. Main jaa raha hun, sone... aapke questions sunkar mujhe ab neend aane lagi hai, so thank u for that.. Ratan makes a funny face, trying to show yash that all the questions that he had asked, were just nonsense... Ratan starts going towards his room. But yash cud read ratan's mind and says - Arey , kaakusaa, jaate jaate, uss ek insaan ka naam to bataate jaiye...Kaakusaa.. (trying to tease ratan)
Ratan (mann hi mann mein yash ko zawaab deta hua)- Diya. uss ek insaan ka naam Diya hai, yash banaa... Shayad aap sahi the, mujhe diya se pyaar ho gaya hai.. Yes, I have fallen for her.. Shayad yehi pyar hai, yehi ehsaas jo mujhe kal se itna baichain kar raha tha, isi ka naam pyar hai..Tthank you yash banaa.. Ratan smiles.. Whole night he spent thinking abt Diya only, and trying to understand that the bond he shares with Diya is not mere frenship, its much more.. Its love... Yes, he is in love, true love.. He kept smiling whole night. This feeling of realization of his love for diya, took him to cloud nine and he was the happiest person tonight.. He kept remembering those happy, beautiful moments spent with diya.. He thinks- now that I know that its my love for diya, wat I shud do next..? Should I go to diya next morning and confess my love..? No, kaakusaa will not allow me to meet Diya.. Should I call Diya and ask het to meet me secretly at some place? No, diya wont agree for this.. Wat shud I do, now... I want to tell diya everything I feel for her.. But how? And when? Until I meet diya and say everything I wanna say, till then, I cant rest, I cant relax.. what do I do? God plz help me... He kept thinking but cudnt zero down his plan of action, on how he is gonna express his love..
