The svelte Shruti Seth who is currently playing a lead role in Rishta.com keeps herself fit by hitting the gym regularly. She is not a fussy eater and says that can eat almost everything. Her favourite food though is mummy ke haath ka rajma chawal .
Personal fitness mantra: I try to exercise daily and if I fail to do so I atleast try to exercise three times a week.
Personal diet mantra: I eat everything and avoid experimenting with food.
Exercise routine: I do cardio, weight training and Titales (inspired by yoga). I also practice Astang Yoga.
Is food the elixir of life?
Yes, absolutely.
Are you a foodie?
Yes.
Are you a vegetarian or non-vegetarian?
I prefer having both. When it comes to food I am not a fussy eater.
Favourite cuisine: Chinese
Favourite dish: Rajma chawal cooked by my mom.
Favourite restaurant: Indigo at Lokhandwala
A must at my breakfast table: 3 egg whites omlette and a glass of milk.
Sugar or sugar-free for my tea/coffee... Tea with sugar.
Lunch generally consists of… dal , rice , sabzi and salad.
For high-tea you would prefer …. Only tea
Dinner generally consists of… it is again dal, rice, sabzi and salad.
Dessert delights… fortunately I don't have a sweet tooth but whenever I feel like eating desserts I prefer to have a pineapple pastry.
One thing I can't resist… Regular Coca-cola.
My favourite drink (non-alcoholic)… water
My favourite drink (alcoholic)… Red wine
At parties I have… Red wine and I eat anything as long as it tastes good. Most of the people attend parties to drink but my main agenda at parties is eating.
Most unusual dish I've tasted… Ostrich and I liked it.
Experiment with food… I avoid experimenting.
On the streets, I love to have… Pani puri

Favourite recipe :
Shruti's special pasta
Ingredients : - Boiled pasta, 1 cup tomato puree cup, 7-8 mushrooms sliced, bunch of basil leaves, 2 tbsp olive oil , salt, pepper, oregano powder, chopped garlic and grated cheese for garnishing.
Method : -
Heat oil, saut garlic put tomato puree and stir for 2 minutes. Add pasta, salt, pepper, oregano powder and basil leaves. Stir for another five minutes. Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with cheese. Serve hot with garlic bread.
