So here is a lamba chauda update for my lovely fangirls!! 🤗

She got up and walked slowly. She could walk without anyone's help now, thanks to the physiotherapy classes, which were supervised by Kabir himself. She was feeling much better after a healthy breakfast. She walked up to her window and slid open the glass. The fresh breeze hit her face. She closed her eyes and smiled, feeling the warm sun on her face. So many days in the hospitals had almost cut her off from the outside world.

She didn't have to worry about her Office; she had taken a month's leave, saying she was going on a holiday with her fianc. But that time period was almost coming to an end. She had to tell her office that she wasn't going to be available for 2 more months.

She quickly started to think of ways to face the outside world when things would be normal for her again, when her phone rang. 59 voice messages, 102 messages, 35 missed calls! She quickly answered her phone, wondering where it had been all these days.

"Oh Thank God Ananya darling you answered the phone! I was worried sick as to where had you vanished all these days! Had you forgotten your phone at home and left? Thank God you answered it!!! Gosh, I had chewed my nails to extinction in these days...! I was almost going to file a com-"

"Whoa whoa Khalid!!!! Hold it!! You are speaking at a supersonic speed... calm down. I am fine, Khalid... tell me, how's KKN? Missed me much?" Ananya said to start a normal conversation. Khalid was almost like a father to her.

"Calm down?? Calm down?! You are telling me to calm down!! First of all, the Editor in Chief of my channel goes on a pre-honeymoon trip, leaving all her work for me, and then she suddenly decides to vanish and not answer any call or a message and then one fine morning I call up and she answers it, by God's grace... and after all this, she tells me to calm down?!" Khalid spoke in his best sarcastic tone.

Ananya laughed and shook her head gently. "Khalid, I have a lot of things to tell you. Can you please come to the Breach Candy Hospital and meet me? And ask Ronnie, Sunny, Baby and Trisha to come with you. I have been missing them since long" All of them were Ananya's juniors at KKN but they had known each other for a long time and were very close friends. With so much happening in her life, she had almost forgotten their existence.

"What?! Hospital?? Oh My God! Here you drop another bomb!! What is wrong with you, Ananya?? All okay?" He asked with a worried tone.

"Yeah, all okay... Come around 3 o' clock in the afternoon. I will see you all then. Bye!" Saying so, she hung up. She sighed real hard. She had to be strong enough to tell everyone what happened with her. She had forgiven Rohan but she wasn't going to forget him. It wasn't a forgive and forget' scenario. She had to show him that he had messed up with the wrong girl! She was Ananya Kashyap after all.

Richa came in with another doctor at half past noon. The doctor checked Ananya and gave her the injection, which sent Ananya into a peaceful nap. She got up after two hours; at quarter to 3. She wasn't used to sleeping for so long; in fact, she barely slept when she used to work on a story. Night after night, she used to be awake, cracking a particular case. All those memories made her smile. Kabir was right; she had to go back to what she loves the most, reporting. She saw Richa enter with a battalion of people behind her. Khalid, Ronnie, Trisha and her other friends had come. She broke into a wide smile as she saw all of them after almost a month. Trisha ran up to her, followed by Ronnie and others and engulfed her in a soft bear hug. Ananya hugged her back. She had missed her gossip queen so much!

Ronnie was the last one in the queue. After she broke the hug, Ronnie asked her, "Now are you going to tell us what exactly is the matter and how you ended up here or what??" He looked tensed. Ananya smile vanished slowly and she asked all of them to have a seat.

Then she repeated the entire story starting from that night in the hotel till the events of the morning. She told them about her health condition, which made everyone skip their heartbeats. By the time she finished, everyone had a shocked expression on their faces. Nobody had imagined that their friend/boss had gone through so much in just a matter of 30 days.

It was evening by then. Richa had left for the day, promising Ananya to bring some homemade food for her the next day. Even after she left, nobody spoke a word. It was an eerie silence. Finally Ananya couldn't handle it anymore. "Guys, I am fine now. You are acting as if I am already dead! I am alive... see??? Ronnie, tell them na! I am okay, guys!" she said but was greeted with angry glances from her friends. "Huh! I am alive. Alive, my foot! Annie, how could you even do this?! You went through such a tough time all these days! You were all alone in this horrible world with horrible people fighting your past and you didn't even tell me! And you consider me your friend?!" Trisha whined.

"Really Ananya!! How could you do this?! You could've informed us at least!" Sunny joined in.

"I know, I know, I was supposed to meet you early but then, Mumbai's traffic, you know"" Kabir said, entering the room. Since he was off duty, he was wearing casuals. With a maroon shirt and blue jeans, gelled hair and eyes that were made for love at first sight, anyone could mistake him for a model. And a hot one! Everyone turned to the source of the voice. "Oh I am so sorry! I didn't know your friends had come... wait, I'll come later" Kabir said and was about to turn back when he heard Ananya call him. "Kabir, where are you going? Come, have a seat." She patted the space beside her.

Kabir went up to her bed and sat beside her. "Trisha, who said I was alone in this horrible world? He was with me all the while. If I am alive today, it's all because of him. If you can see the normal me, it's because of him. Guys, meet Kabir Sharma, the Head Doctor and my friend." She said, keeping a hand on Kabir's shoulder. "Kabir, I am as angry with you as I am with Ananya!! Why didn't you tell me about her?" Khalid exclaimed, earning a confused expression from Ananya. "Kabir, this is not fair yaar. You spent an entire month with your life long crush and didn't even bother to inform me! Dekh li aaj teri dosti!" Ronnie spoke with naughty smirk. Ananya eyes widened and her mouth formed a perfect O while she looked at Kabir, who was shooting daggers at Ronnie and silently wishing for the Earth to open up, so that he could jump in. "Kabir, I thought you were a fan, but... crush?! As in, that schoolboy types crush?? And how on earth do you know Ronnie and Khalid?" she said, trying hard to control her laughter. "Thanks buddy. Thank you for opening up my life. Let me treat Ananya first, I'll deal with you later... actually Ananya, Khalid is a very good friend of mine and Ronnie is a college friend and to me, he is that one annoying brother in every family" Kabir said through gritted teeth. Turning to Khalid he said, "I was caught up with a lot of things and really this thought slipped my mind. Sorry" Kabir apologized, holding his ears and making a puppy face.

Ananya swore she could go and pull his cheeks. She didn't ask him further about the crush thing. Thanks to him, the atmosphere lightened and everyone got talking. After a while, Kabir noticed Ananya was feeling tired. So he requested everyone to come some other time as it was time for her to call it a day. Everyone wished Ananya a good night, promising her that they would come to meet her whenever they have time. Khalid told her that whenever she felt good enough to go back to work, she could read her news from the hospital. All of them thanked Kabir for saving their friend's life and restoring her back to health. Kabir almost killed Ronnie once they were out of the room, for revealing that Ananya was his crush.

Khalid personally thanked him for bringing Ananya out of her depression, but Kabir told him she had never gone into one; or rather, he hadn't let her go into one. Khalid gave him a "Are you serious" look to which Kabir laughed and also told him about what he said to her and Khalid silently thanked his stars that Ananya had Kabir to look after her.

Khalid knew what Ananya meant to Kabir by the way he was talking about her. Definitely more than a friend... much more than a friend. Knowing Kabir since long, he knew it wasn't long before he fell for the woman sitting inside, waiting for him to return. And he was never wrong when it came to such things! Smiling to himself, he left for his home while Kabir (as predicted by Khalid) went to Ananya's room.
