I have access to download the app via the link on a website given on a video on YouTube from Life OK but my device is too old to be compatible. I could buy a new one but not now and I don't know if it will. Plus my tablet is a windows so it won't work on that which is what I need so I can download them more easily.

Don't be sorry, I am facing the same. YouTube was the one place I could watch Rang Badalti Odhani in HD. It is so unfair that viewers outside of India are blocked from watching Star shows.

And no, you cannot download hotstar videos. They are embedded in the website, so stuff like RealPlayer (or RealTimes... what is it even?!😕), YTD, SaveFromNet, etc won't work. (no idea about IDM) I had tried even the source code, but can't download it (What the hell😡)
