I have to agree with my cousin (Aiswarya) on that, because the other Ramayan was only 78 episodes while this one is more than 200!😆 Obviously characters like Ramji, Lakshmanji, and Sitaji would have time and space to show more emotions. Also, this Ramayan had lots of stories behind stories because of the time space, and that way, lots of the characters got good development for their acting. For example, Debina also acted as Vedavati, and Deepika didn't get to, because that story wasn't in the other Ramayan, so we got to see more anger expressions on Debina. Also in this Ramayan, there are more scenes with Ravan annoying Sitaji, so we got to see more of Sitaji's anger than softness, because the other Ramayan focused on only the main points of Ramayan since they did not have time to do more, and didn't add other stories like Surya Dev appearing to Sitaji, Ahi Mahi, etc. You get what I mean...
What I'm getting at is that Lakshman got more of a role in this Ramayan due to the many episode they're showing, so he had to show emotions other than anger. But I think Sunil Lahri as Lakshman showed other expressions really well too. Like when he was leaving Urmila to go to the forest, his countenance was kind and loving, and his words were really sweet. And after he left Sitaji in the hut to search for Ram, and Ram told him that surely Sita would not be there when they returned, Lakshman told him not to worry and that Bhabhi would surely be there. Sunil Lahri's expressions when he gave words of comfort to Ram in the other Ramayan were confident and loving. Also in the Luv Kush serial, when Lakshma had to leave Sitaji in the forest, Sunil Lahri showed the character of Lakshman breaking down and crying at his Bhabhi's feet really well. When he said, "I will leave Bhaiyya and stay with you, and look after you like a son looks after his mother." it was really emotional.ðŸ˜
I think Ankit Arora is doing really well, but I think Sunil Lahri did better. That's just my opinion!
Jai Shri Ram!😃
