Actor Faisal Raza, the protagonist of Rakhi, will not forget a recent shooting schedule for a long time. While he was shooting, using a real gun, some policemen close to the location arrested him and put him behind bars.
Faisal tells us the entire story. He says, "I was required to enact a scene, chasing a co-actor with a real gun, a Mauser shotgun. We got so involved that we moved really far away from the sets, leaving the unit guys behind. The scene was being shot from a car that turned around and went back to the studio when the shot was canned.
However, a few cops over there saw me running with a gun, that too in my costume. Blood was smeared all over my face and body. They started questioning me. Then they inspected my gun and found that it was real. They asked me my name and when I said 'Faisal Masood Raza Khan' I could see that they only grew more suspicious. They confiscated the gun and arrested me on the spot. I told them I was an actor but they didn't believe me as there were no unit members around. My cellphone was in my vanity van at the studio. I had no way to prove myself." When this incident happened, he was shooting near Chandivali Studios in Powai.
Needless to say, Faisal was petrified. "The cops only spoke in Marathi. I was trying to explain things to them in English, but that made the situation worse. It was chaotic. I felt very insulted and embarrassed. Everything went against me that day including my get-up, the gun, even my name! I feel scared to even lift a gun now. In fact, I have requested the production house to give me a false gun during shooting," says Faisal.
A source close to the actor says, "The police suspected him of being a terrorist and took him to a police station. Poor Faisal was very shaken up."
Faisal plays the protagonist in serials like Rakhi. He essays negative roles in Sola Sringar and Dulhan.
