I had watched the initial epiosdes, its normal, same plot....rich guy, engaged to childhood friend and the FL poor......

Suprised too with so much TRP.....Anupama is on top omg i dont know what attracts people to such old age stories and also like you mentioned all shows have basically same story.

There was show gud se meeta........ With almost same rajjo story n ML supportive than Arj, but it shut soon....

@bold the answer is in the question itself..i believe it is mostly the older generation who are not much tech savvy that watch shows on TV and as much I could see, that is the generation the show is catering to. The protagonist being the mom of grown up children, I believe those who watch it on TV might be able to empathize. As as far as I have experience that gen moms do like to give long advises 😆. Still I believe that show has a more progressive outlook.. given the protagonist divorced, remarried, supported her bahu against EMA, has become self sufficient.

Faltu, I believe coz Akaash gained a good deal of fans after his last misadventure. In the early stages of his last show TPK2, his character was similar to Chirag's in being sensible. He stood for the right and supported his wife despite marrying her unknowingly ( swap). Niha is also impressive, from the bits I have seen in YTube.

I am surprised about Imlie 2 though. I mean none of the characters seem good enough to hold attention, may be it has become a habit for many.

I heard Ghum makers are keen for a slot before/ after their present slot for their new show.

same! it is really bad characterization and plots. there is also zero engagement on twitter. don't know about IG. basically no one is commenting or talking about this show. social media is so dead that you won't believe this show still exists. so maybe it is just the old aunties watching out of habit. or the TRP is totally rigged. I am leaning towards rigging -- such a dud of a plot when there are so many channels on TV.

What's happening to the rangeela and Z shows? For a few weeks, I noticed that Sitara shows are gaining massive trps.

Chalo Rajjo is beating the cursed timeslot and correct me if I'm wrong but this is the first show in the recent years to become a slotleader,right?

another reason it makes me wonder if the TRP is rigged. how can it be that colours and Zee are consistenly being beat by star plus? do they really have worse content?

IKR. I do have my doubts on the whole trp ratings. Do the trp audience only watch the Sitara shows? Or are the other channels trps not rated properly? I'm shocked seeing Faaltu's trp. Again a typical sitara plot yet trp is high. Makes me wonder too if the system is rigged.

exactly when it is a typical plot that you can predict in your sleep, then how can it have such high TRP? even if you are watching this out of habit, it also means that you can skip episodes and not miss anything. I do that all the time with dramas -- I skip weeks and then come back when I feel like it.

also, there should one or two shows from the other channels which are really beating sitara in terms of content. otherwise, how does it make sense that one channel has all the numbers? something is definitely off.

I think Imlie is getting high ratings due to the new lead couple having a big fanbase. They worked together in a previous show.

Zee shows are generally more toxic and dragged, low trps is understandable for them except where big names like Ekta are associated.

Sony shows different kind of content which is more suitable for youth and online viewers...tv viewers dont relate to it. They prefer Colors and SP more.

Generally I think SP has a higher reach than Colors or maybe they cast actors who already have a huge fandom🤔
