Blood, Sweat and Tears for Amit Dua

Amit Dua has been having a tough time filming for his show Raja ki Aayegi Baraat. The actor has injured himself many times while shooting for different sequences on the sets.

"Raja ko maine bahot khoon diya hai," laughs Amit, "Yeh sab choti choti baatein toh shooting ke dauran hoti hi rehti hai, inse apna kaam nahi rukna chahiye. I don't believe in doctors and try to take little care myself and continue with my work."
Dua hasn't been injured just once or twice. The actor has found himself at the receiving end on four occasions on.

Painful Welcome: Right on my second day…when I had entered as Raja there was a sequence where I had to ride on a horse and come out of the haveli. When we were shooting the scene, the horse lost its balance and slipped on the road and as a result even I fell down!

Lightening Strikes: Last year in March when we were shooting for an outdoor shoot in Film City, the light stand suddenly fell on me! My right leg got severely injured as got a one and a half foot cut on my leg and it started bleeding badly.

Playing with Fire: Three months after the previous incident, we were shooting for a long sequence where I (Rudra) would go for shikaar and then be caught by some tribal people. These tribals were to hang Rudra above a lit fire. But I don't know what happened and I got so close to it that it burnt my back and made it completely red!

Chased by a Bull: This happened recently when I was shooting in Film City. A bull was supposed to chase Rudra. Unfortunately this bull got out of control and hit me twice on my back. As a result I got a severe muscle pull and couldn't even walk. I survived on pain killers for a long time.

Well, here's hoping that somehow Amit is able to break this spell of injuries!

Raja's rajkumari gets hurt

Rajkumari Bhoomi, Kanika Maheshwari, of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat got hurt while shooting for a sequence. She sprained her leg and has no time to take rest.
"Raja is a daily, so I can't take chhutti or rest during the breaks too," quips the actress. "I got hurt three days ago but due to my busy schedule I got the time to see the doctor yesterday," she says.
Maheshwari was shooting at Mira Road the day she got hurt. She tells us, "I got hurt early on Monday morning at 10 am. In fact I was shooting for my first sequence when this happened."

Kanika explains to us how she got hurt, "I was shooting for the sequence where I was asked to step into the blood which was spilt on the floor. Unfortunately that day I was wearing high heels of 4-5 inches, as a result I slipped and sprained my right leg ankle. But I had no option and therefore I continued shooting".

So, how is she taking care of her leg?

"When I went to the doctor yesterday, he told me that I've sprained my ankle and that I have torn a ligament. He has advised me to use a plaster for 15 days but that's impossible… Instead I am thriving on painkillers and applying spray everyday and I also tie a crepe bandage while I am shooting," informs Kanika.

Presently in the show, somebody heard the conversation between Rajkumari and Rudra where they both plan a plot against the Raja and how they can acquire his entire property. The suspense will now revolve around that who that person is.

Do you succumb to Emotional Blackmailing by Anjali? How much does she excel?
She never blackmails me for anything. Well, if I say it in other words, even if she has blackmailed me emotionally, I will never realize that (smiles). Having said this, I think every boy is emotionally blackmailed by his girl friend to get things done.

The craziest thing she made you do with the help of Emotional Atyachar?
Well, for anything and everything she will come up with the phrase, 'Please mere liye karo na'. Once she forcefully took me to a party at JW Marriot along with her brother and many others. Initially, when I refused to go with her, she blackmailed me and told me that if I don't accompany her, she will also not go. So I was forced to go.

Your Favorite romantic song, that you would like to dedicate to Anjali, and the gift you would give her?
The song of Yuvraj, 'Aaja Re Hawa Main Bithake Lechalu'. And I would like to give her whatever she wants as a gift.

What are your plans for Valentines Day, and which place you would like to take her to?
We are shooting on Valentines, so there is no such plan. But our RKAB unit is having a party, so will celebrate Valentines with them. As of now, we have planned nothing.

RIP: Kanica- Amit love story

By now everyone knows that all is not well between Kanica Maheshwariaka Rajkumari Bhoomi and Amit Dua aka Prince Rudra of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat .

So what is it that soured the relationship? Not many know that Kanica and Amit were a couple and that they had called off the relationship some time back. And it is to Tellychakkar that Amit has confessed that they were seeing each other but are no longer a couple. And what prompted him to talk to Tellychakkar was because Kanica had gone to press with stories against Amit.

In a recent interview to a magazine Kanica has highlighted the crack in their relationship by hitting out at Amit. He though has a different tale to tell. According to the actor, he was seeing Kanica for a brief period four years ago. The couple parted ways on an amicable note only to come together in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraatlater.

Talking exclusively to Tellychakkar Amit lashes out, "If somebody has problems with me then they are more than welcome to confront me with the same. Why do they have to be good on my face and give such interviews to the media? I am sure this is just a way to gain publicity."

Continuing he confesses, "I was seeing Kanica four years ago but later called off the relationship after reaching a mutual decision. I would not like to divulge the reason why we broke up as that's very personal. We met again on Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and things were fine. Things only started getting worse after we had heated arguments over our severed relationship. Things went out of hand and our producer had to intervene and I told her that I am a very short-tempered guy and I was provoked by Kanica's accusations."

When asked the reason for Kanika's outburst in the magazine interview Amit reasoned, "When you hire a personal PR they just want masala from you and I am sure this is a case of publicity."

We contacted Kanica Maheshwari for her side of the story but after hearing us out she refused to comment.

Television's most romantic jodis

With love stories that defy all odds, and sometimes all reason, it's no wonder TV's sugary couples have become household names who get the audiences hooked on their serials.

SO we take a look at the most romantic onscreen couples who share some amazing chemistry.
Amar and Divya (Banoo Main Teri Dulhan): Amar (Sharad Malhotra) and Divya (Divyanka Tripathi) of Banoo Main Teri Dulhan (Zee TV) have garnered loads of love and appreciation from their fans for their off-screen as well as onscreen chemistry. They both look good together that now the fans are waiting to see them together in real life too.

Ranbir and Ragini (Bidaai): The viewers had to wait very long to see these two (Ranbir played by Kinshuk and Ragini played by Parul) together in Bidaai (Star Plus) and finally it has happened. These two are perhaps one of the most loved jodis on the small screen these days.

Yudhister and Rani (Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat): Kapil and Anjali are very well known because of the chemistry they share off their Star Plus show as well. The couple participated in Nach Baliye 4 and was even among the top 4. Viewers are desperately waiting for them to tie the knot.

Arjun and Arohi (Kitani Mohabbat Hai): In a very short span of time, Arjun (Karan Kundra) and Arohi (Krutika Kamra) of Kitani Mohabbat Hai (NDTV Imagine) have gained so much popularity that they are being called the next Rajeev-Aamna on television. Their 'khatti mithi takraar' works perfectly for them.

Ram and Sita (Ramayan): Gurmeet Chaudhary, popularly known as Ram, and Debina Bonnerjee, Sita of NDTV Imagine's Ramayan, look made for each other. They are a couple in real life too and perhaps that chemistry is reflected onscreen.

Akshara and Naitik (Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai): Akshara, played by Hina Khan, and Naitik, played by Karan Mehra, of Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) look very cute together. The shyness and freshness of their relationship has been getting good responses so far and viewers are eager to see how their relationship progresses.
